For years, folks wanted to trade Harden for picks and young players.

Like I tell my fiancee, I want them to play better and better as the season progresses, just still lose close games so they won't blow a shot at one more high-potential player. Then next year, regardless of whom we draft, they start bearing down hard to get back into contention.

But Green has improved ..... last season he couldn't run a simple pick and roll. This season he's solved that and been a decent playmaker at times otherwise.

He's not going to shoot this damn bad forever .... he and the entire team has been in a shooting slump since mid-December, eventually he'll come back to the average and then his numbers will appear to have improved.
Their shot charts are too good to stay this bad for the duration ....

He's also improved on the defensive end where last year he couldn't guard your little sister, he's approaching competence this year.

We just haven't seen "tangible improvement" in the numbers .... but there has been improvement.

 

Can you point to one example of a young rebuilding team that lost a lot of close games?

 

The picks have yet to even arrive, btw...

As for the look of the team, that too is about the future and not about the now.

May as well cook a meal for a fraction of the time necessary and then wonder why it doesn't taste right

There was a short period we needed to rebuild during.
Francis/Mobley years were rebuilding
Tmac/Yao years no need for rebuild
Post tmac/Yao years should have rebuild (only occurrence of this)
Harden Era, no need to rebuild we were basically the 2nd best team and a hamstring away from winning it all
Post harden we are rebuilding.

 

I never wanted to trade him, in fact when the news came out that he wanted out I was absolutely crestfallen. I might've been insanely angry at him when he did leave especially with how he left, but he's still my second favourite player of all time and I'd take him back in an instant tbh.

 

I don't understand the response. I didn't say a LOT of close games. I just want them to not win games when they have a legit shot at the end. There have been several games this year where the score was close enough in the 4th quarter to eke out a win, but they usually haven't been able to.

 

I want a supermodel girlfriend who cooks, cleans and is funny as hell.

Its not a realistic want.
