Correction: all 30 NBA teams would dump KPJ way before Green, and Green's floor in the NBA is already guaranteed by that first step which will last 10+ more years. The real loss is that we're actually discussing an extremist fringe opinion. The board is really sick these days.
Yup Jalens numbers are actually on par with and even slightly better than Devin Bookers numbers at this point in his career. Whats said is they are comparing Jalen a #2 pick in his second year to a guy in his 4th who wasnt even lottery. Its really silly. I swear some guys just come on here to argue any type of nonsense.
You can develop your team properly and still get a high draft pick. Rockets are going scorched Earth rn.
How does the better player have lesser value than a worst (according to you) player that are only two yrs apart in age?
I think DD is saying the supposedly better player has lower trade value because of his history. I agree with him on that one. KPJ has very little trade value if at all. But here’s the thing: if other teams want no part of him, why should we stick with him, even to the extent of promoting him to be the head honcho? l know all the talks about “Houston saved me” and what not. And he seems to be more stable now. But how long will it last? For example, say next year we draft Scoot. Is he willing to change position or even come off the bench? The minute he flares up, I bet he’s gone. I couldn’t care less about his whereabouts. But that means all these effort we put into the KPJ experiment is wasted. That’ll be a shame.
Seriously, someone is asking to trade Jalen Green, a young prospect who is posting 21.3 points per game at the start of his second season in the league, and keep KPJ, a player with negative value that no other team in this league would want. Really? Sometimes I think that we deserve these 27 years without championships, the stupidity of some fans is infinite.
Lots of people were/are suggesting Alperen Sengun trade also. Why are you surprising for JGreen trade proposal? Don't surprise for Jalen Green/ Jalen Suggs comparision. Anything possible.
It's not just wasted effort. It's paying the opportunity cost of not developing something useful in a more promising direction. Those opportunities might have gone forever.
Why would the said better player come off the bench for Henderson? Its the reason why I asked the Dakota how can the better player not have more trade value regardless of past because your game speaks for itself or how other teams view your high end potential being they both are young and haven't reached their prime apex If Green would bring back more in a trade then you at least ride him out until his rookie contract because of why you drafted him in the first place being box office appeal with potential scoring champ/3 level scorer tier KPJ is talented and if a player according to Dakota is basically equal or as mentioned by him being better (KPJ) then both should bring back essentially the equal player or package iif traded
It's obvious to most people....but it goes against narratives pushed by certain types of "Rockets fans". That's probably why some struggle to understand.
If all other things are in negatives, and KPJ’s growth is +0.1, that would be the biggest thing Silas can be proud of.
