No doubt. I know Texans don’t need him but man Bijan would be tempting at 12. Safest pick in draft imo.
Yeah I think if they go QB with the 2nd pick, I'd be happy with drafting a WR or TE with the 12th pick. I'd also be happy with two defensive players, though.
• Colts swap with Bears for No. 1 pick: The Bears are in prime position to trade down, and Indianapolis pounces to snag Alabama quarterback Bryce Young. • Five QBs land in Round 1: Alabama's Bryce Young, Kentucky's Will Levis, Ohio State's C.J. Stroud, Florida's Anthony Richardson and Stanford's Tanner McKee go on Day 1. • Texans add promising QB-WR pairing: Houston drafts Kentucky's Will Levis and TCU's Quentin Johnston with its top picks to form a strong offensive nucleus. 2. HOUSTON TEXANS: QB WILL LEVIS, KENTUCKY Levis isn’t at all a bad consolation prize for the Texans. He’s already shown he can operate an NFL offense with two different offensive coordinators who have done the same in the league. Levis possesses elite physical tools with a laser of a right arm paired with an exceptionally quick release. He’s proven able to operate from tight pockets and under pressure. He averaged 9.2 yards per attempt on 82 pass attempts under pressure in 2022. 12. HOUSTON TEXANS (VIA BROWNS): WR QUENTIN JOHNSTON, TCU The Texans give their newly minted quarterback a receiver with a massive catch radius that’s easy to build rapport with. Johnston has 59 catches for 1,064 yards with six scores and 18 broken tackles this season, prior to the national championship game. He’s a unique big-play threat for a 6-foot-4, 215-pounder, as he’s averaged 18.9 yards per reception in his career.
Levis has had some bad ones, he’s also had some elite games. Stroud doesn’t have the upside and I don’t want a Quincy Avery coached, David Mulugheta client QB from Ohio St.
Will Levi’s ? Have NFL gms not learned their lesson on drafting “prototypical size, Elite arm talent, struggled at times but has some good tape against good competition” Sam darnold Mitchell Trubisky Zach Wilson Trey lance Will Levi’s ✅
You forgot Blake Bortles, who I think could be the most accurate comparison to Levis. He could also be much, much better than that. I'm just going to roll with whoever we draft, until they suck.
make a play for Nathan Rourke take best def player with #2 pick or trade back for picks take a play maker wr at 12
Must admit CJ should me something I didnt know he had against a good Georgia team. Levis, I just haven't "IT" at all. Doesn't mean he doesn't, I just haven't seen it against the better competition. I would rather get a Defensive player at 2 and wait for Anthony Richardson at 12.
Drafting Levis will set this franchise back years. Years. If Young isn’t there, grab one of the two elite defenders or trade back for someone foolish enough to come up for Levi’s or Stroud. Not a huge Stroud fan, wouldn’t completely complain at 2, but Carter or Anderson are probably better value. Levis would be one of the worst picks in franchise history bad.
Texans haven’t done themselves any favors but what if Youngs agent tells the colts not to trade up for him, Bears trade down with the Texans, then the colts can trade with the Bears, bears make out like bandits and still get to draft Carter or Anderson
Stroud is better than Levis. As anti-Stroud as you are, you should be that concerned about Levis since he’s even worse. Levis and Richardson are major major gambles more likely to have JaMarcus Russell’s career than they are to be remotely franchise QB worthy. At 2, I want no part of a project (see Lance, Trey)
