Never heard of this dude, but I feel kind of sorry for the autistic young lady. Someone stole her childhood, and it wasn't "climate change". More like her parents and whoever her handlers are.
In what way do you feel sorry for her? What do you know of her mental health and childhood activities?
The Tate guy you never heard of? Well you'd like him I think. He holds a lot of the same opinions on wokeism and trans people.
Hmm. I'm very reluctant to engage here because I understand you at least can read and write complete sentences and therefore should have basic contextual reading comprehension when she said which means it's a bad faith attempt but anyways: Ya she's referring to her generation and that includes those poor kids because climate change is going to **** over all their lives. That's her claim. It has nothing to do with her personal childhood. I'm sure she's self aware and will tell you she's privileged.
So are you Ok then with a 36 year old man trolling that young lady online to brag about how many cars he owns?
OK. You don't care that an adult man who is now arrested for sex traffiking trolled a young women who you even say might be autistic. Instead you show "concern" for the young women by going after her causes. Got it.
I had never even heard of the guy. Why would I care about some rando bragging on social media with his real or imaginary car collection. Greta, however, has been plastered all over the news for years. It has been known that she is on the spectrum. Her public appearances seem very scripted. Like many young people, she talks with absolute conviction of being right. One of the things she claims is that her youth was taken away from her. From the outside looking in, that appears to be correct. She seems to have been instrumentalized by her parents/handlers at a very young age for an orchestrated political PR campaign, and seems quite joyless/unhappy.
I had never heard of Andrew Tate either but he is still an adult man trolling a young women who you acknowledge is vulnerable. You might not agree with Greta Thunberg but if you consider her a vulnerable person or even just out of basic decorum that you don't care that some rando is trolling for you how much then do you actually care about Greta Thunberg? Why are you so concerned about her youth being taken away if you're just fine with online trolls, and in this case apparently someone who is an misogynist who is exploiting women?
Because large parts of the media have been trying to position her as some sort of infallible saint we have to listen to. And I don't agree with that assessment. Like Prince Harry and his wife, I have seen and read more than enough of her. I do not believe in the apocalyptic scenarios that are being promoted by her handlers. I would rather see some actual, non-silenced and non-marginalized scientists be allowed to explain why her misguided panic-mongering is actually a negative for society.
What does this even mean dude? Your rhetoric here doesn't make sense given the amount of time you waste in your life going after the most useless topics just to trigger people.
ATW's statement here makes perfect sense. Greta has a doom-and-gloom grammar-school-level apocalyptic worldview that she's had since she emerged as an adolescent public figure, and ATW is saying he would rather listen to an adult with an informed, non-apocalyptic perspective that is probably more realistic. The corollary is that her "misguided panic-mongering" is a negative for society, whereas informed scientific realism (presumably) is a net positive for society. There. hope that helps.
It really doesn't make sense actually. Greta isn't doing the science. She's just a kid with some privilege who speaks on the matter. She isn't making claims of her own. The constant goal post moving of climate change deniers for the past 30 years makes it rather self evident who is more credible. Before climate change wasn't real. Now "omg you guys are being too apocalyptic". That wasn't a line someone like you would say 30 years ago. Thirty years ago you would just say man can't effect the climate.
Debatable whether her activism is a negative or not. The problem is real and getting more people to pay attention to the fact that it’s going to impact the lives of present day children is a good thing, in my opinion. Obviously her views should not be treated as authoritative. It’s funny how this thread topic is pivoting to whether she should be considered an expert or not. I’m pretty sure we have other threads to debate climate science and policies. This thread is about a right-wing mens rights ******* with a troublingly large online following who harasses young women on social media.
That's fine you don't have to consider Greta Thunberg an infalliable saint. I personally am annoyed by the Harry and Megan coverage that doesn't mean I would support Randos trolling Megan especially when such Randos are exploiting women and pushing a lifestyle that is misleading and exploitive. The issue here is someone who has profited off of exploitation, who is attempting to build up his brand by going after a young women and pushing this to young men as somehow being not just acceptable is something to be emulated. I don't think that's something to be celebrated or just dismissed. I think if we want to set a good example for young men we should expect adult men not to pander to the worst juvenile instincts.
I think you just erased 95% of the content ATW consumes. Where do you think he gets all his takes about "Wokeism"
