The Texans were meant to tank these past two years and hiring bridge black coaches that they never intended to keep long-term is racist. They enjoyed the positive press for being the only organization in the past two years to hire black coaches. Now they got to take the heat for being the only organization to hire & fire two consecutive one-and-done black coaches. Culley and Smith should never have been hired in the first place. There were plenty of other qualified black head coaching candidates. Even last year they could've hired Flores after he filed the lawsuit. Pointing out that he wasn't hired because of the lawsuit he filed is exactly why he added the Texans to the lawsuit. It is illegal to not hire someone because they have a pending discrimination claim. It is abundantly clear to me that Caserio and McNair are idiots and I have zero faith that things will turn around next year. I just follow the Texans now for the drama they constantly find themselves in because of their stupidity.
The Texans are still the only team to hire Black coaches back to back. (AND paid them WELL) You don’t have a problem with them. You have one with the NFL.

This franchise gave Bill O'Brien 100 games, a contract extension after going 4-12, and a promotion to GM. Culley + Lovie got 32 games combined. It's not about money; it's about opportunity. Not one single Black coach benefits from the Texans passing out large severance checks to Black coaches.

I'm amused that somehow we have a large portion of the remaining, rapidly declining Texans fanbase that think the Texans are one offseason from turning things around. What the Texans have done ever since Easterby came into the picture has been downright stupid and in my opinion...Caserio is very similar to Easterby. It's obvious that Caserio wants to cosplay as a head coach on Sundays which is why he has done everything possible to not bring in a qualified head coach these past two years. If you look at the Aaron Wilson report for the reasons they parted with Lovie... Why didn't they know these things before they hired him as Head Coach? He was in the organization for a full year under Culley as the defensive coordinator. Even this past Sunday, Caserio and McNair's incompetence was on full display...They could've fired Lovie before the game. He told them he planned to win. But y'all keep having faith that everything will be OK once 'Caserio gets his guy.' LMAO. The league notices bullshit like this. Sure; to some degree, the Texans are an easy franchise to kick. But - it sure seems - they had to be stopped from hiring Josh McCown, a white former football player with literally zero coaching experience at *any* level, which is, on a scale of 1-10, a 476 in terms of institutional racism. And then hiring B2B Black coaches you had no intention of keeping long-term - and essentially setting them up to fail - is significantly shittier than just hiring an in-demand white coordinator. The Texans absolutely have earned this heat. They are run by morons.
What are you talking about? Obrien got a 100 games while winning divisions. He got fired 4 games into the season going 0-4 RIGHT AFTER his promotion. Also, he never cost us a first overall draft pick with blatant disregard for the future by going for 2 pts in a meaningless game. Also, how long did the cowboys keep Garrett? Doug marrone had a long tenure, the colts hired Jeff ****ing Saturday. Can we please just hold all teams to the same standards?
