If I am the Texans, I am leaking like hell that they want Carter or Andersen to prevent the Bears from trading.

It's the only Chess play left.

The Bears and Colts sat better players to lose intentionally for draft positioning and your team goes out and tries to win the game.

Its honestly a fireable offense and I would not be surprised if today costs Nick his job.

Have control of your team. Cal needs to push the button on exterminating all Patriot ties from this organization. Never again.

Couldn't agree more. Especially about smoke screens.

All Mills needed to do was take a sack on that last play and he has a 3 week all expenses paid trip through the Pacific -if he played for a good owner.

If Chicago trades out of 1, I think they would know that Carter and/or Anderson won’t be available unless they are at 3. Otherwise, they shouldn’t care.

Not true. The top five will likely be the Bears, Texans, Seahawks, Colts, and Cardinals, with the last three in a random order.

If two or three of the top 4 are wanting a quarterback, the Bears can trade as far back as 4 potentially and still get one of the presumable top 2 players on their board.

Either way, it doesn’t matter who the Texans leak they want. Anderson/Carter, it won’t affect the Bears. They know the consequences of trading out of 1. As well as the reward.

Competent franchises and competent fanbases know Bryce is the consensus #1. The homer simpson owner and texans fans always complicate a plain path. Cal McNair and texans fans are made for each other

I hope we "settle" on Anderson. Then hope for Richardson at 33.

Funny how he’s the consensus No. 1 but not the overall No. 1 prospect

Yeah. He’s no where near the consensus number 1 prospect.
The only reason people were mocking him at 1 is because they think we’re drafting a QB at 1, until the shitshow today

Exactly! I don’t believe there’s a consensus No. 1 in this draft. Will Anderson is considered the best player in this draft though.

Ok I’ve calmed down now lol…looking at this situation is kind of perfect for the Texans.

Somebody trades up and mortgages their future and drafts Bryce ( Colts ) fine…

Then we can take one of the two best players in this draft Carter or Anderson.

Sign a vet QB and go win the division next year while still having 2 first round picks again.
    Or

Bears take one of Anderson or Carter then we draft Bryce at 2

I truly don’t think anyone trades up for #1. I was pissed at First then realized Bryce will be there at 2.

This is the only scenario that has me in that "whatever..." phase instead of wondering what the hell kind of crack these dudes are smoking.

I get what he's saying but it's not just about 1 player it's about having the maximum # of options...including a trade down.
