The last I heard about Mike zimmer was he was going with Deion too Colorado could be mistaken though.
They should consider Shane Steichen for the HC also. He’s put together a helluva offense and turned Hurts into a mvp candidate.
If Gannon gets you THAT staff, then sign me up. There wouldn’t be a ton of staffs in the league with more legit NFL coaching success than that.
So the Texans have their predetermined candidate(Gannon)? LOL … Schefter & Mort -(AS)Cal McNair & Nick Caserio will meet early this week, come up with a plan and direction for the franchise. Surprise firings? Mort: I heard about Mike McDaniel in Miami. What do you think? Schefter: Don’t expect that at all. I think he’s safe. Mort: The Jets. I’ve heard Woody Johnson, the owner, there’s gonna be something. The dust is kicking up there with the Jets, whether it’s assistants or Robert Saleh has to answer for or Joe Douglas for the Wilson fiasco. Mort: Vrabel has lost 7 straight games. Amy Adams Strunk fired GM Jon Robinson. Some people wonder will she clean house altogether.
Just hope we don’t wait a month after our season is over before we decide to fire Lovie. Fire him tomorrow and let’s move forward
Just like the Texans. Can never fire their coach in Black Monday. Has to be like Thursday of that week.
Jay Glazer: Broncos-Colts-Panthers (already open) Cardinals: Wouldn’t be surprised if Steve Keim/Kliff Kingsbury are both gone Texans: Lovie Smith and his GM Nick Caserio, either one or both will be gone After this year as well Rams: Don’t think McVay will take a long time to make his decision; people inside the building would be more surprised if he came back than if he left. Payton/Harbaugh/Quinn will get a chance with Broncos Caldwell/Reich will interview with Panthers Let’s link Harbaugh with the Colts Raheem Morris will be a name with the Rams if McVay steps away Ben Johnson is getting very hot Ejiro Evero will interview with Broncos this week If the Texans make a change, DeMeco Ryans makes an awful lot of sense
FOX's Jay Glazer reports that "either one or both" of Nick Caserio and Lovie Smith will be fired. We've heard plenty of smoke about Lovie Smith being on the hot seat this weekend, but this is the first real report we've had noting that Nick Caserio's job could be on the line. After two years as Houston's general manager, Houston remains one of the oldest rosters in the NFL. It's perhaps a little unfair to expect the Texans to have made the playoffs or anything like that at this point given where they started with Caserio and David Culley, but it's not hard to argue they should look a little more functional than they have to date.
