I sacrifice my previous ritual of driving home from work and looking forward to putting on the game and relaxing. Now I only watch very sporadically and find myself getting bored.
I certainly disagree with your assessment of Green. Despite his struggles shooting the ball, he has made significant improvement, particularly as a facilitator and defensively. Two places he was terrible at last season. He looks much better in the pick & roll .... and has averaged about 4.5 assists since the beginning of December. He's also getting to the FT line almost twice as many times as last season .... critical stat. He gets to the rim any time he wants, even when his outside shot isn't falling. Not many players can do that. Defensively he was putrid last season, this year he's approaching competence. That's a big step in the right direction. No, he isn't playing like an allstar .... but he's making rapid progress. Once he starts shooting / finishing better, the efficiency will improve.
For all the anti tankers... I don't wanna here shite if we reverse course, stack up on vets to win more games, and end up mediocre for the next 5-10 years.
We will see how much yall like losing next year when we are still awful and have no lottery pick to look forward to.
It could be worse. We could have lost the Jalen Green pick and we could have also had a worse pick than 3rd last year. Just be happy guys we didn’t want Harden to leave but it is what it is. We will eventually get back to relevance.
.... right. Again it's been 2 seasons of a complete rebuild and it'll be 2 1/2 by the end of this season...... Just comes off entitled and spoiled.
however u wanna read it, man... personally, i dont think its outta line to expect a bit more structure and accountability when trying to mold a team of young raw prospects into polished NBA professionals... but just me i guess.... lol
I dont think that cones into plsy until 2025. I believe next year is unprotected. But if we suck this bad again next year youve got to start really wondering about the young players weve drafted.
I think they will be a much improved team next season .... ~$60m in cap space and another high draft pick, they are going to be much more talented. If they spend that cap space right, they will be a playoff team - be that in FA or some trade absorbing a large salary.
No, the picks are top 4 protected in 23/24, top 10 protected on the swap in 24/25 and top 4 protected in 25/26.
