Usually the QB is kind of big deal and included front and center in these things.

Is there anyone that actually thought Mills was going to be QB1 here next season?

I just had the most unrealistic trade simulation.
    Bryce Young QB
    Jordan Addison WR
    Jared Verse ED
    Clark Phillips III CB
    Siaka Ika DI
    Jalen Hyatt WR

    AND
    24-1s from
    Chicago
    Denver
    LA Rams
    Arizona

to go with 24-1s from Houston and Cleveland

Man it’s crazy because I want CJ and he always fall to Colts pick so I keep trading back and collecting picks.

I kept forgetting I really didn't want Seattle's 24-1 pick. It was Denver's pick I wanted. Just like I wanted the Rams 24-1 instead of Detroit's. So I concentrated on accumulating their first and early second round round picks this year for trading material. With Miami losing it's first round pick, our second is effectively a first and our third is effectively a second.

I had one draft where I picked up Young, Stroud and Richardson with my first three picks with like 5, 12 and 25.

Very good break down of Bryce Young from Josh Mccown.. the negatives and positives etc. By the way I had no idea Josh had a podcast :)

I can see why people like Josh. Very good speaker and charismatic. I don’t have a problem with him coaching, but to go straight to head coach with no coaching experience is just too much. This was a great watch and breakdown, and he actually was more in depth than the other former nfl qb who breaks down plays.

He did say that play strength is much more important to him than pure size and a good team would work with Bryce to keep the hits he takes down. Bryce is able to rip away from much bigger defenders in the pocket quite regularly so at least on tape he demonstrates great play strength. He also said that Bryce does so many things that don’t need to be drilled into him at the next lvl that it gives a coaching staff time to spend on more advanced things right away.

Here we go with the “insiders” and their “sources.” Young may very well be qb1 but i doubt Caserio is telling people this before the combine, pro days and interviews.

I think he was most likely effectively a player coach in the NFL for many many years, giving him more/better experience than most of the young HCs that are hired nowadays. It’s probably a big reason why he played into his 40s. I think assuming everyone has to start out as some low level coach/coordinator in order to be a head coach is too conventional. This isn’t saying much of course, but I would not be surprised if he is a better coach than anyone on the Texans’ staff currently.
