Because he won't be able to shoot enough free throws to offset his poor shooting percentages from the field. You seem content with Jalen Green's production. You understand that we have the worst record in the league, right?
What? No the claim is that Green has higher efficiency than players like Cade, Suggs, Giddey (the guards of his class) while doing it on higher volume. The higher volume you force on a player, the more likely their efficiency drops. Ask Giddey to take Green's responsibilities and attempts and his efficiency will plummet even more.
What? I am okay with Green's current trajectory of going to the line more. I have not said a single thing about him not needing to improve his finishing and overall shot selection to up his effiency. and no, I am not OK with Green shooting 53 TS, it's mediocre efficiency and he should do a lot better for a No.2 pick. You started talking about Giddey being more efficient than Green because he has a higher FG%, and then started talking about refs swallowing the whistle in the playoffs.
He won't be able to? What? You know he's 20 about to turn 21? The point is sto flying over your head. WHY is Green the best in his class at getting to the line? Does he flop? Bait more? Strategy? What trait Green has that makes him the best at his class at that?
How is Green barely a better scorer than Giddey? on average (PPG) he scores 21.5 a game while Giddey can muster only 15.3. A difference of 6 ppg isn't barely assuming they play the same amount of games Assuming they both play 82 games and maintain the same ppg 21.5 x 82 games = 1763 pts 15.3 x 82 games = 1254 pts 509 pt difference. barely a better scorer. pfft
I said Giddey was outperforming Jalen Green because of his better shooting percentages as well as his superior rebounding and assist numbers.
Giddey is most certainly a more efficient player (not more efficient scorer) than Green and definitely having a much better season. I honestly don't know what's so tough to understand. If Jalen was averaging %80 TS with 27 turnovers per game, would that make him the most efficient player of all time?
I must have confused you with another poster. You know what, I disagree with what you said because I think it's a tossup, I don't think one is clearly performing the other for reasons I have stated about scoring volume and efficiency. But I respect the take on rebounding and assist numbers. I just don't know what you are on about freethrows and playoffs, seems irrelevant to the conversation.
Bro you can't be this dumb. Green is MORE efficient on HIGHER volume. That is the point of bringing up ppg. Is your brain seriously not comprehending the point here?
Our system, or lack thereof is the main reason for his inconsistency and decreased %'s and efficiency. Our ball movement and player movement on offense is really bad. We rotate running the offense through Alpi(need more of this until We solve the PG position), KPJ and JG. But it all looks like freestyling, and not actually having a plan of attack. We either lack structure, or our existing structure is bad and shoud be revamped. A rotation of: KPJ/JG/KJ/Jabari/Alpi/Tate/Garuba/Tari/JC has enogh potential to be a + on both sides of the court, but that's only possible with clearly defined hierarchy and roles. The JG-Alpi combo is something that We need to focus on. Alpi sets good screens and he and Jalen have good chemistry. But We won't see that being the main focus, atleast until We let go Silas and EG. Hopefully that happens sooner than later. We have good ingredients to form a very productive young core, but We need to adjust the system and the ratio of those ingredients to really make it work.
If u are comparing efficency, Green is more efficient than Giddey via TS%. If u want to just say who is the better scorer? no sht it's the guy getting more points than the other dude. Like in what world is a guy scoring less points than the other dude considered a better scorer? correct me if im wrong, NBA scoring leader aka the best scorer is measured via ppg. Jalen Green has a higher ppg than Giddey. How is he not considered a better scorer?
Yes you are the stupid one and will completely ignore my point in bad faith to save face. Again, Green joined the NBA one year after high school. Wagner, 2 years. Green if he did college instead of the Gleague, he would be labeled a one and done players. Wagner isn't a one and done players. Hence two seasons in college.
Did I say Giddey was a better scorer? Or did I say he was having a better year than Jalen Green due to his better shooting percentages, significantly better rebounding numbers, and better assist numbers?
