Yes. Does that mean I can't correct bad takes and claims that Giddey is more efficient because... Checks notes... Someone uses fg%? If you want to move goal posts, move goal posts.
I don't think being barely better scorer than Giddey is not good enough for your #2 overall pick especially when you consider scoring is not even Giddey's biggest strength.
I'm cherry picking stats by looking at fg%, 3p%, rebounds, and assists? It's interesting that you accuse me of cherry picking stats while you're ONLY looking at TS%. Do you see the irony?
You know there's more to the game than just scoring, right? That's elite goal post moving if i seen one. NBA is all about scoring, u win by simply scoring more than your opponent. It was already foolish to compare to guards playing different roles, but ignoring TS% just to type this sht. Especially after complaining about green's fg%
It's not being barely. Giddey has worse efficiency on significantly lower attempts on more easy assisted attempts. Now imagine his efficiency if he was plopped right onto our offense taking Jalen's Green role and trying to self create 60+ percent of the time on that many attempts.
You act like Green has a say on whether teams foul him or not on drives. It definitely is not a strategy that works in the playoffs, maybe when the time comes the Rockets will tell teams to not foul him
I didn't ignore anything. I just pointed out other aspects of the game that you intentionally overlooked.
Point is flying over your head. Maybe I can rephrase the question. Why is Jalen better at drawing fouls(ftr) better than essentially anyone in his draft class? Strategy? No. It's something else. What is that? Can you answer that question?
U are btching about green's fg%, and 3p% being lower than Giddey. TS% is an advanced stats used to measure a players efficiency at shooting the ball. Green's is higher than Giddey meaning he's scorin it more efficiency than Giddey which = a more successful season in my book.
And we are correcting claims that Giddey is a more efficient scorer. Are we not supposed to correct that claim?
like i said comparing two different roles was foolish in the first place. It's not barely. ~6 ppg higher is quite dramatic
And if fans like you are "ok" with Green's current trajectory just because he shoots a lot of free throws, then you won't have to worry about the playoffs b/c we'll never get there.
I wouldn't say shooting. More like "scoring". Shooting is efg%. Ts% also incorporates ability to get the line.
Jalen is trying to self create 60+ percent of the time because he has the basketball iq of a sea turtle. That's one of the reasons why he's not an efficient player.
What a dumbass take. I'm sorry but this is really stupid. Because Green is great at drawing fouls that means we won't make the playoffs in the future? You know for most NBA analysts, consistently being able to draw fouls is more impressive than some hot shooting. Hot shooting is hot shooting. The most random people have hot shooting stretches. Players don't accidently consistently get to the line.
"Trying" isn't the right word. 60+% is referring to unassisted FGM as in that's the percentage of his MAKES that are unassisted. Also you are just saying that out of your ass. It makes more rational sense that Green's very low assisted fgm rate is due to a 22 year old scoring guard being told he's a pg along with being surrounded by a bunch of other 19-21 year olds with a vet presence of Eric Gordon who has always been considered a black hole on offense in terms of playamking for others.
