U know he could have easily just say i had a bad night, and i will do better. Focus on the game and let that do the talking.

We can interpret his comments about being the head honcho/leader positively or negatively, i just think it's weird to be tooting your horn like it's means anything when we are one of the shttiest team.

Really does remind me of when wall and cousin were tooting their horn as we were also in a losing season

He didn't have to call himself the "leader" to take responsibility.

He could have just said something like, "As the PG, it's my responsibility to get my teammates good looks. I need to play with more energy and awareness on defense. We are a young team. We need to learn from our mistakes." That would have been suitable things to say AS A LEADER. Instead, by naming himself "leader" and "head honcho" he put attention to himself and his status on the team rather than on what the team needs.

Remember how Harden got flack when he said he was the cornerstone of the team, implying that everybody else was expendable? If Harder the clear best player shouldn't have said that, what does KPJ think he is?

They all have had stretches of good/bad, and the one with longer tenure in any sport should be better if they are worth their water

Its what I mentioned earlier about propping up someone over the other, horrible vs. super horrible, they are all horrible (ie young and finding their way thru the fire)

Being terribly mediocre is being horribly mediocre, all words of art

I root for KPJ and others to succeed at their profession and rather he succeeds or not is up to him, but it seems the Rockets want it like this and they are in contention for a top two pick so you may get what you wish for

They need Wemby more, but if they do end up drafting Henderson then it will definitely be some friction unless KPJ comes out and declares he is the PointForward (SF)

    TBD

To me it’s more like Wemby or BUST!

My fear is that if we land pick #2, with the way Rox org has been treating KPJ (giving him the reign, promoting him to be the leader of the team, etc), we may not even select Scoot Henderson. Because that’ll for sure ruffle KPJ’s feathers. I’m not sure if Stone/Silas wants to see their b*stard son get upset.

Vic would INSTANTEOUSLY revamp both sides of the court by himself.

On the other hand I think too many guys are just enjoying the piling on of KPJ by making those bulletproof assumptions that this front office is going to avoid improving the team because of him - it just screams insecure fan opinion and edgelords looking to outdo each other. If the ROX end up at 2 then you take Henderson without even blinking. At that point KPJ becomes a trade piece or he has to accept his diminished role as a professional. What are the other options? TyTy is getting burn why hasnt he turned it around? He was the "pure PG" that was the only thing the team needed! o_O Let me guess "he's a rookie what do you expect from a rookie" or something like that right? KPJ may not be star level, but he's definitely better than Nix or TyTy at the present. Whats the other option let Sengun handle lead guard duties? LOL --- you could always just point the finger at Silas that seems like the hot topic would you like to make fun of his dead dad too in the process?

I can respect that, but drafting that high you always go best player on your draft board, unless KPJ turns into Zeke/AI the remaining games of season then you may think about selecting a diff player at that spot or trade it for a avail star player who fits with KPJ

    We shall see

This is the perfect example of the saying "if you've got to say you're something, it means you aren't that one thing".

TyTy is a rookie what do you expect from a rookie? What happened to your patience for KPJ after 4 years or 2 years or 1.2345 years or whatever your current count is?

If your point of the entire essay is that KPJ is better than Nix and TyTy, then congratulations, you made your point. That’s a shitty low bar you set for KPJ.

I’ve said many times that I don’t mind moving Green to PG. He may or may not be a better PG, but 1) It can expand his game more 2) KPJ’s numbers may make a jump playing off ball at his natural position. Better for his trade value if it ever comes to that. Two birds in one stone.

Nothing more then a good sixth man on a good team. Not sure how much evidence people need

Ok . He has no playmaking skills or feel. That’s not something a coach can teach. It’s a feel. It’s something you either have it or you don’t.

KPJ does **** like this almost every possession of every game since he's been here... and no one has been able to bench him, coach him up, sit his ass down and tell him that **** like this gets you out of the league. And instead of getting benched, he gets praised for being a leader and our coach cries for him.

**** this team from the top down. Even if we get Wemby or Scoot, we're still going to be a 15-20 win team with how **** this culture is. What an absolute trash franchise now... no one with any sort of brain would let KPJ be a PG/leader of any team, let alone a starter in this league.

Any coach in this League would take him out and put him well at the bottom of the bench for 10 games.
    But Silas...

That is a great example of the team not having a clue, KPJ should be going back but the rule is when a PG take the shot the SG is supposed to bust ass back and cover.

Jalen was in the deep opposite corner. I'm not even sure about what they are doing anymore but I don't think that he was Jalen's responsibility in that set. Maybe I'm wrong, but Porter could have given an effort to get back instead of his usual routine. If KPJ wants to lead then freaking lead man. That's all I'm asking.
