Paying Porter the money he got pretty much forced the team to even further focus on the development of Porter instead of Green and the other draft picks. Pretty unfortunate.
He shouldn't have to though. Everyone knows they're trying to lose on purpose. Porter falling on the sword is admirable but unnecessary.
Heavy TMac vibes. I hope this turns out the same way with KPJ quitting on the team and getting traded.
I thought I would never dislike a player as much as I did with Christian Wood. KPJ has surpassed that. I just can’t stand low IQ, egocentric, short temper players who are difficult to coach. KPJ is closer to the JR Smiths, Dion Waiters of the world. He’ll never be close to Harden. Stone should be fired for this experiment alone.
Why wouldn’t he feel this way. Think back to all that has been done for him. The handling of Wall, starting lineup even when it was obvious he didn’t earn it and should not have kept it. No punishment for misbehavior. The head coach talks and sometimes cries about him every time he is interviewed. The offense is tailored made for him. His usage rate is higher than some all starters and all league players. I could see how Porter would think this.
Good for him let him be, cause next year this will be Wembanyama’s team. Tho it’ is sad that Green is not a vocal player and claim it cause I feel he’s the better player with more upside of the two. BTW, Jabari will never get enough touches to develop with KPJ (Head Honcho) running the point. We need a true PG.
Feel like this is the nickname Silas gave him when he took him out for ice cream after and let him sit in the front seat.
The issue is with Silas and Stone. Silas has proven to be bad at evaluating players or even developing a system that gets the most out of the talent on his team. This is the kind of crap spoon fed to KPJ the last year and a half. I guess KPJ can call himself a leader in the same way Elden Campbell was the leader of the Lakers for a short bit. I hope that privately this pisses off Jalen Green. FWIW the “leader” of the Rockets is still 19 years old (Jabari Smith). KPJ is just the guy old enough to buy beer. The Rockets culture sucks.
Feel bad for the kid. We’re playing him at the wrong position. Watching Conley and guys like Lowry should show what a natural PG is. They don’t just bring the ball up and handoff to start the offense. They don’t wait to get the ball back so they can iso step back or snake the lane. They’re hitting the open skip pass. They’re passing there guys open. They’re reading the tag man and hitting that guy in the corner. They’re running pnr and passing to the player moving into space. KPJ can’t do that innately. He should be a catch and shoot/weak side action/bench scorer.
Looking a whole lot like Tyreke Evans the last couple of games... I hope he cleans up these mental meltdowns on defense especially. Reminds me of Russ.
Your playing the point guard position but you aren't fit to be a point guard on any team in this league.
