They're 3-3 when Alpi plays more than 30mpg. There are LOTS of ways this team can either have a better record, better development, or both... although it might still be considered setup for failure... So it doesn't matter what one's qualifications are... You just said above even if he had qualifications, it wouldn't matter if you have a shitty iq. In short, i suspect the guy thinks his iq isn't shitty. You are pushing back cause he doesn't have the "resume" but at the same time saying the "resume" doesn't really matter, it's the iq that matters. I'd agree!! Dude you are arguing with about this thinks his IQ is solid. You are saying he doesn't have the resume... which makes no sense, since you also say the resume doesn't matter. No idea what this means.
someone clearly playing dumb purposely, maybe not. But pushing back while not even saying anything Dude you are arguing with about this thinks his IQ is solid. You are saying he doesn't have the resume... which makes no sense, since you also say the resume doesn't matter. uhh. he has no resume to matter lol. tf are you even talking about. saying you've been around basketball isn't an actual qualification. news flash. apparently you think that's something you put on an actual resume. "I've been around basketball a long time"
yeah but you admitted you don't give a f what the qualifications are. Westbrook has as insanely good a basketball resume as possible. So who cares? Sorry to drone on about this, it's just very confusing... you realize we're on a public forum where 99.9% of the people don't have a real basketball resume?
westbricks resume shows hes played basketball at numerous levels. and makes it to the league. It certainty wasn't his bball iq that got him there. It was his insane athleticism 99.9 of the people don't tell someone you don't take anything silas says seriously and just disregard him at every single level. so yeah I care when logic goes both ways. It's one thing to disagree with things. It's another thing to act like someone is an absolute nothing while the person has exactly what qualifications to be credible enough to say it
what they say is irrelevant though, if your issue is with the resume. It doesn't actually sound like your issue is with the resume though... it sounds like you just disagreed with the poster, which is fine. I personally agree with the poster. I have a middle school son and would NOT want Silas coaching him.
no, the poster said: He did not say Silas had no resume to speak of. He just said he shouldn't be taken seriously (implicitly though, regardless of resume.. same way you think of Westbrook). Again, i'm blabbering on about it so will stop, but its fundamental to the whole point of this site, lol... people with no resumes speaking their minds.
yes so i said so according to this logic, why should anyone take something like this from you seriously? You clearly aren't anywhere near the realm of any level of coaching hes been on, so does this logic not apply to you? You probably didn't even play college ball like he did. So your word is supposed to be more valid than his. someone who doesn't sniff even close to his resume It's a simple question. If you're telling everyone here nobody should give af about anything silas says, why should we listen to you instead
It shouldn't be that difficult to understand a basic concept. Alperen Sengun is a good offensive player and bad defensive player but not because ORTG or DRTG said so. ORTG and DRTG is the stupidest way possible to evaluate individual performances. That being said, I didn't see anyone trying to convince people on Alperen being the best offensive player on this team based on his offensive rating on this forum. But i have seen the exact opposite a dozen of times.
How do you know about Westbrooks bball iq? Have you played at the pro level or collegiate level? Have you ever met him to discuss basketball to have personal experience that his bball iq sucks? Or do you say that based on your experience around basketball and the eye test telling you he has a low bball iq?
because its pretty crystal clear by watching him literally play LOL. if you think his decision making is high level, that tells me plenty about where you're at. It's also well documented how much of a bonehead he is on the court
So it is okay to make judgements based on personal experience watching something over multiple years?
plays like a bonehead throughout his career at every stop and only gotten worse, it's pretty accurate
I happen to agree with you about Westbrick however I hope you realize you are doing exactly what I am doing in regards to my opinion of SIlas being a pathetic coach. You see Westbrick make terrible decisions so you know his bball iq is low. Silas sucks at coaching. All you have to do is watch the games he is coaching to see it. It is on clear display.
not really. Up until these last couple of years has Silas ever been drilled to the level folks around here do at any of his previous stops? Nope. I still remember the excitement a ton of the board was rooting for getting Silas, the mavs coach in charge of the offense. Now look at the board. Complete opposite. You know why the offense did so well, it because he had an actual player that mattered and relevant to impact the game that way consistently. What does he have to work with here? a bunch of kids who half the roster could still be in college. none of which have any clue on what it takes to win at this level that they still need to learn. Way too many folks don't understand the concept of your coach is as good as your roster that he gets to work with. There's a reason why the saying of coaches don't get any credit when they win but get all the blame when they lose is still true. it's simply the scapegoat rule.
