i slot him as our 6th man in coming years... if he aint down wit it - he can go out in the trade package... lol
He remains our best player, for now...albeit kinda out of position. (we have a couple of 2's that can handle the ball) Once Sengun has more offense run through him consistently, it will all make more sense. Personally, I think it's really good to hear him talk like this.Of course half of you will spin it as a negative....either him being "delusional" or " Son of Silas"...but, this goes with what we've seen on and off the court for awhile.
This is exactly what a team with this self proclaimed head huncho looks like. 10 wins at the midpoint of a season. People who call themselves things like this and have 0 team success are fake wannabe alphas. Their ego is doing the talking when it shouldn't. you're a shitty team if you have guys like this talking out loud while losing all year long
aint nobody gonna trade for him after he throws a tantrum/lunch at the next coach for taking away his PG/starter title
....I mean, he's not wrong. He's on a team with no leaders and very few even decent players. Someone had to step up and be a leader, it's good that he's trying
Yeah, it's like those drivers ed cars that has two steering wheels and set of brakes for the instructor to take over. Eric Gordon was suppose to be that instructor but sleepy eyes has been asleep all season. KPj just pushed EG out of the way and grabbed the wheel while JG in the driver's seat. If EG has a problem with iso, then EG should have waived off those two iso attempts he has been averaging every game. Call for a screen and go PnR. Instead he tells the media in house stuff....trying to look like he has nothing to do with the process.
"I feel now like the franchise guy since James has left. And you very rarely get the opportunity to be a franchise in two different cities and two different teams. I feel like that’s my job, to be the leader of this team." - John Wall "As a leader, as a point guard of my team, I got to make sure we prepare and come out the right way and I didn't do that today. That's on me. Our energy was off at the start of the game. Like I said, I'm the head honcho and I didn't come out with the right energy so It was contagious to my guys out there." - Kevin Porter Jr.
You dont demote him - and THEN try to trade him... lol You feel him out... "we're thinking about going after pg X... we want X, JG and u to be our primary backcourt... KPJ we feel u have the ability to play both positions - so we want u to be 6th man - as u continue to refine your pg skills... we want to go to more of a traditional starting set - and then have u come off the bench to reek havoc in your style...' "If you're cool wit that - we'll even guarantee the rest of your contract..." If he's cool with that... great! If not... the offseason trade package is KPJ/KMJ/Tate + pix... in search of star potential....
He seems to be the de facto “leader” the coaching staff picked, for whatever weird reason. But all he’s been doing so far is just lip service.
