I wonder what part his dad played in all this or was he just innocently part of the cross-country drive. Will real life be as good as the story I've made up in my head? I think it might be with this weirdo. Also, how common is it for a serial killer to have 4 victims in one event.... Maybe he wanted to be a mass murder.
I don't bring up the topic with him or even that I know of his father. Just treat him like a normal coworker.
Suspect got new license plate days after Idaho killings January 4, 2023 at 7:42 pm | Updated January 4, 2023 at 9:02 pm 1 of 3 Bryan C. The licensing documents in Washington state show that the vehicle driven by the suspect, Bryan C. Kohberger, was a white Hyundai Elantra, the type of vehicle that investigators had been seeking in recent weeks. Police in Moscow, Idaho, had said that a white Hyundai Elantra from between 2011 and 2013 had been seen near the scene of the crimes on Nov. 13, the night of the killings. Kohberger’s car was a 2015 model registered Nov. 18, according to the licensing document. A vehicle history report shows the car had previously been registered in Pennsylvania, where Kohberger is from. Kohberger, 28, had moved to Pullman in recent months and began studying criminology in a doctoral program at Washington State University in August. He has said through a lawyer that he expects to be exonerated in the case. Kohberger’s new lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the license plate records. Kohberger was flown to Idaho on Wednesday evening and booked into the Latah County Jail. Also on Wednesday, police in Indiana released new body camera footage showing that, two weeks before Kohberger was arrested, the police there had pulled him over twice in a 10-minute stretch for tailgating. The traffic stops, on Dec. 15, came as Kohberger was driving across the country with his father for winter break in the same car for which he had obtained the new license plate. In both traffic stops, the officers let the men off with a warning. There is no indication that the police in Indiana had any idea that Bryan Kohberger would be arrested in the killings, or that they were aware of the police in Moscow, saying that a white Hyundai Elantra had been seen near the crime scene on the night of the slayings. Two weeks later, on Dec. 30, police in Pennsylvania carried out a predawn raid of Kohberger’s parents’ home, arresting Kohberger on suspicion of carrying out the Idaho killings.
This really made me chuckle that the whole Dennis is a serial killer sub-plot was genius. And there is a resemblance.
I am a watcher of those crime shows as well, what's your favorites? My current faves are See No Evil, Homicide Hunters, American Monsters and On The Case. I usually watch all the Sunday discovery stuff.
I was thinking more of all the fictional stuff I grew up watching when I wrote that. Although true crime stuff certainly applies. I'm usually glued to true crime shows when I come across them but I don't typically seek them out, as unlike the fictional stuff they have a tendency to stay stuck in my head for a while (plus I don't have cable at home). I know I've watched a little of Homicide Hunters and American Monsters. I don't believe I've seen the others, although I've seen promos for On the Case and it looks really well done. Do you know of anything to stream? I'm up for a little now that you've mentioned it. The only thing that comes to mind is Unsolved Mysteries on Hulu.
Discovery has almost all of these, so you would need to get discovery+ I think they are trying to combine HBO MAX and discovery if they are not already available since Discovery parent company bought out HBO. Discovery+ is pretty cheap I think, so that might interest you, if you have Direct TV you can get some old Discovery shows for free on demand as well.
I'm really curious about the crime scene and how he pulled off killing 4 people with a knife without waking up other people in the house.
I was thinking back to my college days with multiple roomates. I'd sleep through the comings and goings, music, TV, etc. I also ran a box fan in my room. My roomate could easily have been stabbed to death (while asleep) and I wouldn't have heard it. Or if I did hear it, I'd just figure they were coming home late, or messing around or something and not worried about it unless someone actually screamed or yelled.
