    So he’s the guy with all the face tattoos. Did he have the tattoos while he was playing in the minors? Guy has some wrestling skills.

    I remember Ozzy Osborne in one of his interviews, he said he was addicted to tattoos, but he made a point never to ink his face, he actually advised against it. Well, who’d of thought Ozzy Osborne to be such a square in pop culture today… lol

    And now they sign Devers to a deal that they weren’t willing to give Betts?

    Seems like the fan base pressure and ownership tendencies are still enough to supersede any Tampa-like fiscal responsibility during a rebuild from Bloom.

    Not to mention they’re still paying Sale, Story… and now Janzen top dollars to very well likely finish last in their division again.

    Of the Red Sox big contracts, I like Devers the best from a fiscal responisibility standpoint. I think Story won't be too bad as a SS. Sale, Barnes, Yoshida, and Jansen is ~190M guaranteed to guys with a lot of risk (is it still risk when there isn't upside?).

    They should have saved money to keep Betts. I don't think it was an issue of the Red Sox not liking Betts at that price. It was bad planning and not being able to move bad contracts.
