And that's the funny part.....I'm hearing a lot about Rockets Iso.

Rockets average about 8 iso plays a game last time I checked (about a week ago)
    KPj 3.2 iso plays
    Green 2.8 iso plays
Eric Gordon's 2.0 iso plays (Mr We Ain't Improving)

Rockets only go iso is more myth than fact

*And people should keep in mind that teams often go iso at end of quarters
to control that 2 for 1 shots with around 30 seconds remaining

Watching the Rockets with KPJ sometimes reminds me of watching Sacramento back when they had Tyreke Evans. They have a similarly questionable feel for the game.

TBH, I do not think KPJ is a bad player. The way Silas uses him is bad. Silas appears to only know how to coach a system with a ball dominant player like Luka. He was brought here to do this with Harden. Harden left so he is trying to do it with KPJ. He is clueless how to install anything else. Now we have to wonder how KPJ will handle it when a real coach is brought in who does not make him the focal point. Can his fragile psyche handle it? If so he will likely have a good future here. He needs to be either a 6th man or play off the ball much more while running the offense through Sengun if he remains a starter. He will greatly benefit from such a system but will he be able to handle not being "the man"?

I don't think he knows how to coach a system with a ball dominant player either. Luka is just too good that he can make a sea turtle look like a decent NBA coach.

I did not mean to imply he was good at it is just all he knows.

    Fyi

    19/20 Harden 36.3 (USG%) Houston
    19/20 Doncic 36.8 (USG%) Dallas (w/Silas)

    KPj ( current ) 25.8 (USG%) Houston (w/Silas)

I swear some of you are complete drama queens

    Harden (20/21) 44.4 (USG%)
    Doncic (20/21) 36.0 (USG%)

    Harden (21/22) 40.3 (USG%)
    Doncic (21/22) 38.4 USG%)

KPj has practically the equivalent of Eric Gordon (USG%) while playing next to Harden. Side kick numbers.

Usage rate only tells you the percentage of possessions that end with that player doing something such as an assist, turnover, fgm, fg missed, fta. Etc.

It doesn't say much about how much the ball is in his hand. That's time of possession.

Exactly. If you hold on to the ball for 20 seconds to dump to someone else for a missed shot, the second player gets usage. Two things:

    1) Assists do not go into usg%.
    2) high time of possession with relatively low usg%, which is the case for KPJ, is actually bad. You are holding on to the ball a lot but not create scoring, which essentially means, you are taking away opportunities from your team mates or your team mates are given less time to operate, which is kind of definition of ball dominant in a bad way.

Regarding 2, I don't think thats necessarily true? That could indicate a guy who brings the ball up, sets up the offense, is very good at creating good offense, but doesn't look to score a lot for himself. I'm thinking of a guy like Chris Paul, Steve Nash, maybe Rajon Rondo, or even a John Stockton type. All those guys I'm sure had high TOP and low usage, but it also came with double digit assists. Not that this is who KPJ is, just pushing back on the idea that it's strictly a bad thing. Maybe amend the point to say that it's a bad thing if it doesn't also come with a boatload of assists.

LOL, what about the other 3 guys that did not get back?

Not a good look, but let's stop acting like KPJ was the egregious one.

Who is they and show us where they billed him as our future franchise player?

They certainly did not pay him a the Franchise player.

Just getting more minutes does not mean you should play well, getting more minutes can expose you and show more of your faults.

I don't see how Silas a Lucas have clearly built a system around KPJ, Green has just as much of a Green light and does whatever he wants as well.

Nobody is playing in anybody's choir and at this point there should be no hierarchy and there is not it's amazing how people see what they want when it's concerning KPJ.

It's kind of funny the way the 2 players are viewed by some. Jalen Green is currently a pretty bad player... but they are certain soon he'll be a top 15 player.

KPJ is already playing pretty well.... but they are certain he'll never be any good.

You just can't help but laugh at them.
