3.5 possessions per game in isolation for KPJ

3 possessions per game in isolation for Green.

1.5 possessions per game in isolation for EG.

8.5 possessions per game in isolation for the entire team.

    WTF with the false narrative.

The Rockets really need to get lucky in the lottery. Getting the #1/2 pick probably saves everyone’s jobs…. Amen Thompson or Cam Whitmore may surprise.

Jalen Green will be good, but not sure he will ever be a top 10-15 player in the NBA. Jabari Smith will likely make an Otis Thorpe type impact, really good but not great…. KPJ is just not a winner. Really need someone special in this draft to separate us from a handful of teams rebuilding…. Most likely one of HOU, ORL, DET or OKC will emerge from the pack as the future of the league, and it will be which ever team gets the #1 or #2 pick.

Gordon ended his comments by saying, “If anyone needs to rent, hit me up on Snap Chat. I have a condo ten minutes from the Toyota Center that will be available to rent in thirty days. No smokers or pets.”

The false narrative is that it's this very high volume, it's actually 7% of all possessions.

That's not a large percentage of the whole that some try to make it out to be - they spend more possessions in transition than isolation.

Keep up the narrative and don't let the facts get in the way.

Or it could be they're showcasing Gordon EVEN MORE now to get his rear outta here asap!
This is one time where Silas' milquetoast personality actually benefitted us in that you can do/say almost anything to him and he won't respond back with any kind of disciplinary action! lol

Gotta give EG credit, when he called Silas/everyone out he HAD TO DELIVER himself or he would have looked really, really bad!
But he came thru, and I think raised his trade stock with tonight's performance!

I'll even give the team an A for effort!
They really tried to share the ball and it worked for a couple of quarters.
Just when you haven't practiced that way much you will revert back to what you're used to doing in the end and that's what happened!

But that's on coach!!! (like MOST things are)

Obviously I want us to get the no. 1 or no. 2 pick, but we already do have someone very special: Alperen Sengun. Always.

Starting off the game the right way had more to do with Alperen Sengun than with anyone else. Of course, Silas goes away from that the first chance he gets and goes back to letting KPJ hog it.

He is what he is like KPj is what he is. They're like two pathetic peas in a pod.

I don't think they are pathetic people.

I believe that KPJ is trying to be a better person and he has proven he is an NBA player. I would say overall he is a success. He has had a lot of baggage that he has so far been able to put behind him and he will make enough money next year to live a solid life, and that isn't all the money he will end up making. I just don't think he should be the starting point guard for the Rockets and I think he still can cause chemistry issues.

As for Silas, by all accounts he is a wonderful person. I have heard no one every say anything negative about him as a human. Again, I just don't think he is a good NBA head coach.

I haven’t heard anything about Silas being fired from anyone. I will say this, he doesn’t typically break stories, but Granato knows a lot people and hears a lot that he chooses to not report. If he says he has heard rumblings, then he probably has from credible sources.

I mean, Tillman is watching the same games we are. He’s watching to same ugly iso ball that we are. The same bad shots and poor shooting. The same crazy rotations. The inability to get back on defense; the turnovers; our inability to beat the zone; our inability to score in transition.

There’s just too much glaring failure. it’s got to be driving Tillman crazy. No way Silas survives beyond this season.

    good for Ego...
I got no prob with him callin folks out for not 'doing things right'... its long been my complaint...
and the fact he turns around and steps up himself shows some character - rather than sulking...
and to then give the same guys props for the effort - even in a loss - but appreciating the effort...
    thats good stuff...

You know, I could pull up the statistics and prove most of your complaints here as false .... but what's the point?

    Ah, what the hell ....

They only isolate 7% of their possessions, that translates to about 8.5 per game. Green, Sengun & EG account for 5 of those, KPJ the rest. They are top 8 in points per possession in isolation. Maybe they should do it more - they do it well.

They get almost 14% in transition .... double that of the isolation.

They are 3rd in the league in pick and roll frequency.

Teams Isolation | Stats | NBA.com <-- click here for sortable stats by possession type.

They have the 4th best shot chart in the entire league - behind Boston, Milwaukee & Golden State .... no, they can't shoot. But they do get great shots - and they are the best rebounding team in the league.

<insert video of Jalen & Co throwing down lob dunks in transition> Problem is, they get a limited number because they aren't very good defensively, to get transition buckets you have to get steals and stops .... but what do you expect for a team where 9 players under 22 get 82% of the minutes and score 85% of the points.

Of their 10 W's 7 of them came against teams better than .500

    I won't argue the rotations .....

The failure here is boys playing in a man's league. These kids come into the league and are nowhere close to prepared for playing .... That's the nature of the league.

There is a huge gap between the first and second pick this time if it happens according to the mock drafts.

Gordo looks like he is frustrated one day, being rational the other day and having a little fun the third day.

I think a transformation happened when he bought the team.

He can't think like a normal fan as he would decade ago but now he is the business man, owner and decision maker...

I do not think he is really mad, he has to stay cool and worry about his finances.

There were some mishaps along the way when he gave CP3 that contract, traded it for Westbrook and then traded that for Wall.

That wasn't all business man like. He seemed very calculating the rest of the time. Too calculating.
