KPJ: Can someone explain to me why he has become Clutchfans favorite whipping boy?

Nah, you just REALLY want him and by extension us to fail. You can't really remotely claim to have an objective view when you're the guy dropping inane "KPJ sucks" in one liners all over the board. I'm not sure why you needed to quote me in this one? People not giving you enough attention whilst you're adding nothing to the discussion?

Yeah, not just his last 5, but in his last 10,hes averaging 22/6/6 on 61% TS. It's hard to tell when something turns from "he's had a couple good games recently" into legitimate improvement, but this is looking more and more like the latter. I'm really hoping to see him keep the assists up and turnovers down.

 

And all of this is as he is sharing the facilitator role with Jalen and Ego.

KPJ's TS% is now .55. Pretty soon, haters will have to rely on vaguer arguments, like the "eye" test and that thread claiming KPJ isn't a "winning" player.

I dont think thats a fair comment. To say someone on this board wants us to fail. He may not like KPJ but KPJ has given plenty of people reason not to like him. Silas has given people plenty of reason not to like KPJ. The position they put him in is that of a star but he is not a star thats going to piss a lot of people off. So when someone says he sucks its in the overall comparision to people around the league.

 

He keeps getting more mintues and we keep getting worse. Yeah the "haters" have no idea what they are talking about lol The entire knock on KPJ is that his growth sacrifices everyone elses growth. But you have your fantasy lol

 

As I said — haters have no argument left about his actual play, so they default to bullcrap like this.

 

His actual play was 2-9 from 3 and bad defense especially after turnovers. SO if you want to call me a hater you can and you can call it bullcrap too doesnt make it any less true. That was his actual play so you are wrong.

 

lol kpj fans celebrating that he finally strings together a few efficient game as we still rack up the Ls.

Folks like to blame every one else aside from kpj from pulling their own weight. nice stats feel quite empty when we still lose and get ass blasted in some games.

It's good to see him play efficiently for once but he's doing an awful job as the primary ball distributor if everybody else looks awful.

Quite a conundrum for kpj fans. blames everybody else for being awful for the losses but fails to acknowledge that the offense is driven and centered around KPJ. Essentially if the squad performs poorly why aren't the kpj fans holding the leader (kpj) accountable?

 

It was fine when a 20 year old rookie in Green string together a 2 months stretch of scoring 22+ pts on 60% ts but a 4 years vet with a string of good games while the team is still losing isn't nearly as impressive.

But it still is good to see positive development. Worst it can do is just increase KPJ's trade value. But it also could mean we are starting to see a long term future for KPJ here. But I still don't think it's at the pg position.

I'd say it'd be unfair if it were directed at yourself for example, but look at his recent post history. It's literally one liner after one liner in multiple threads along the lines of "kpj suck" "kpj is the worst player ever" type deal. I have no problem with fair criticism, but this poster is a fairly obsessive hater if you go by the posting history.

 

So you throw your tampon at the guy with a 59.9 TS% in the game....so that you don't have to criticize the guy with the 44.9% TS who cost the team the game.

 

I think this is an interesting point that the KPJ pushers should address.

Silas and Lucas have clearly built this to be KPJ’s team. (42 minutes last game, 20 shots) He should* play well with the kind of rope he gets.

Would we be better served to build a system around JG, Jabari, or Sengun? Are our best players being marginalized playing in KPJ’s choir? Sometimes it feels that way, and that doesn’t fall on KPJ for the most part. That falls on the coaching staff not setting up a working hierarchy.
