I genuinely don't know why people are b****ing about KPJ again. He's definitely getting stronger and more consistent as the season goes on. It's like you're rooting for him to fail (bad for the team) when you really should be wanting him to break out and emerge as a potential all-star...

 

Because KPJ isnt just another player. They shape everything around him and that keeps him under a microscope. Do you get that they have billed KPJ as our future franchise player? You dont have a problem with that? Is like when we tried to make Ariza a star player when he was not lol Otherwise he's a good role player but over play him and put the ball in his hands and youre in trouble.

 

But dang it he is becoming that star player, right before your eyes and that is making you mad.....think about that......

agreed. still makes some bone headed plays but his last couple of weeks have looked really solid on balance. get a coach in here and let’s see what we can do. Hell - the nets didn’t take off until they got rid of their dead weight coach. Not saying we’d turn it around that quickly - with youth comes growing pains - but there is talent on the court to work with and KPJ is looking to be a part of it.

I still have fear he doesn’t take coaching well and that the rockets are covering up behind the scenes outbursts. But from what we can see - he’s making strides.

 

42 mins just for the man to muster 25 pts and half ass on defense. But he played an efficient game so impressive.

LOL - Trash him? No - I may say he is struggling some and needs to work on his game - but that isn't trashing him. I think all the players have issues to fix......or work on.....

Jalen has no left hand, is all one speed and is a much better shooter when ON BALANCE then on the bounce......he needs to work on a lot of it to get the AAU stink off of his game.

But that isn't hate, that is hope!

And if KPJ keeps improving as it looks like the game has slowed down, we might be building around him after all.

Houston Rockets season recap in 10 seconds. KPJ turns the ball over, doesn't run back, Jabari hustles and blocks the shot, no KPJ in the frame, Mavs grab the board, still no KPJ, Mavs score easy 2 points, still no KPJ.

It doesn't have to be Harden as number 1 or 2 option.
Just giving ideal example of my plan for the Rockets.

As of today, next season Jalen Green moves to #1 option and
KPj moves to #2 or #3 option.....will it be Jabari that advances to key
option of #2 option next season?

Wembanyama as a rookie might jump to #2 option.

The point is, only an idiot flushes away or breaks up the two scorers getting over 20 points
a game like KPj and Green. Are you that low basketball i.q. guy? Only a so called
Rocket fan would do that.

 

For the most part, this was a great freaking game for Kevin Porter Jr.

It seems that (unlike his most ardent fans on CF) he is realizing that giving Alperen the ball helps him, the team, the coach, the organization, and everyone. He was using Alperen for his benefit and everyone got to eat tonight. We should push the system even further in this direction.

KPJ and Alperen are tailor-made for each other. In a perfect world, Alperen can assist with Kevin's decision-making and make the game more simple for him. Likewise, KPJ's size on defense and his natural ability to score off the catch are perfect fits for Al. Here is to hoping that KPJ, and especially Silas, embrace the system that Sengun is offering.

Make no mistake, this is still JG & Jabari's team. Anyone discounting those two is, in my opinion, a very silly person. A matter of time...
