well surrounding your young players with veterans and... mid tier talent. Warriors took the leap when they added Iguodala. Suns took the leap when they added CP3. Both teams will tell you that. You need veterans to help the young guys and not veterans like the mute Eric Gordon. Guys that will get on you and hold the team accountable. Aside from the veteran aspect, you need talent. Unless they land Wemby, whoever they draft is going to look just as lost as the last two lottery picks
Because some of us believe we have two young players that can be stars in this league, if given the right coaching and system. We hope to add another this year, and hopefully a new coach.
Who are the two young players? Jabari? Honestly, we'll be lucky if he ends up being Jaren Jackson Jr which isn't a bad thing at all. Both drafted in the top 5, both can stretch the floor(Jabari better), JJJ's defense is probably going to be better, neither one can create for themselves. With that being said, I don't think anyone looks at JJJ as a star. He's an elite role player. Also, what teams have drafted three top 3-5 picks and made it work. OKC but then again, Harden left because of contract and he wanted his own team. It's hard for that to happen.
