You kind of are though....and hilariously enough you are doing it the day after he was by far the best player on the court for the Rockets. Like I pointed out in another thread, this team wins or loses based on how Jalen Green plays. In wins (10 games) Green's TS% is 63.7, in losses (26 games) it is 49.6 Winning or losing really has nothing to do with KPJ, he's been pretty consistent in both wins and losses. When Green is good, the team wins, when he's bad, the team is doomed.....and he's been bad a LOT more often than he's been good. Now I'm sure everyone will have a thousand excuses for him, but it is what it is. Do we need to fire Silas at the end of the season? Absolutely....but Silas isn't the reason the Rockets are bad, neither is KPJ.
lol we are just 5 games out of the playoffs in the loss column why is that such a huge stretch that with more minutes to alpi and a better role wed be 10th or 8th seed now? even in this shitty role with just more luck we could have been 10th seed now... now imagine if alpi were given keys from the start youre also ignorant of how rhythm and role affects the game and leadership...silas really fooled you by holding alpi back..of course alpi would have looked much better if silas werent constantly throwing him off rhythm like he already did when given a better role and more touches and minutes...we always see a better version of alpi when he gets higher usage imagine what could have been if hes the main ballhandler...and its not only alpi everyone would be unlocked...because thats what alpi does, hes a playmaker and makes teammates better also if you have ever followed the sports you gotta know by now that a simple coach change during the season can turn around team abilities and success in the season for 180 degrees... and i did not insulted you so stop with false accusations as a bonus you get to look at miami roster from last year when they were 1 shot away from the finals.. and i am sure if rockets had this roster you and 99% of rockets fanbase would be satisfied just to get a high lottery pick...if this is not weak and lenient i dont know what is adebayo pick no 14 herro pick no 13 jimmy butler pick no 30 kyle guy 55 dedmon undrafted markieff morris 13 duncan robinson undrafted max struss undrafted lowry 24 pj tucker pick no 35 omer yurtseven undrafted gabe vincent undrafted caleb martin undrafted lololololololllll
He's a documented knucklehead with no sustained track record of growing up, that's why he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt.
He's beyond right. It's time to make a coaching change. We don't need to win, but need to show improvement. Our players are too one dimensional. KPJ and Green are not winning players, IMO. Doesn't mean they won't figure it out one day, or provide value as to bench players, but Im not optimistic. Definitely a rough start for Jabari too
Worst team offensive efficiency in the league and the PG is "fine"? I find this a hard case to construct.
Haha so now I’m ignorant of bball huh? You have no clue what I know about bball. You have probably never played the game beyond pickup ball at your local park, but you come on here and now you are a top rated analyst of the game. Anyway, that heat roster you listed has a lot of good veteran players on it and they have a vet leader in Butler who is an all star. That roster is much better than ours. Like I said, I like Alpi too (his potential), but he is not Jokic. He would not lead us to a playoff birth if given more minutes. I too, think he should be given more consistent minutes and I believe that will come in time. Our main players are all too young to ‘get it’ right now. That. Just a fact. We didn’t draft a Magic, Bird, or LeBron. Our guys need time to figure things out. I will give Silas another year as long as we start making moves with the roster. We need to move KPJ off starting PG and we need to move Gordon and let KJM or Teri start at SF. So I put that part on Stone to fix at the deadline and/or this summer.
It is because you are blaming the PG, when the problem is the lack of a system - it is not the players, it is the coach. DD
They are both related, it's not either or. You can lack a system/have a bad coach, but also have an idiot player. Look at all the players that have dropped out of the league due to not getting it together. Cough Jalil Okafor
If Gordon remains a Rocket past the trade deadline, there's truth to the rumor that the Rockets are wanting to sign Harden next year.
But there’s also the Andrew Wiggins who left a toxic environment with no system and proved he was a winning player. Not saying KPJ is Wiggins but it’s hard to judge someone when they played in two terrible situations. Shoot, at one point people questioned whether Devin Booker was a winner. I think we’re being too quick to write players off. However, I see KPJ as a bench player for a winning team. He can play a Bobby Portis role. Milwaukee ironically enough need a KPJ.
Yes it is either or, you can't decide on a player until you have seen him held accountable and work within a system - well i guess you can but that is short sighted and frankly not all that smart. KPJ has been doing EXACTLY what Silas has asked him to do and he is pretty good and efficient at doing it, his teammates being **** SHOTS is killing his assist numbers but other than his turnovers he has been pretty danged good as a learning/developing PG. People just don't like that he had some mental health issues, which I actually think makes him stronger.....they are missing out on a good developing talent....it is not KPJ vs anyone else....it is KPJ as a Rocket is developing great. DD
You're the kind of person that drafts jokic in the second round, and doesn't give him minutes. I heard the kings are hiring a GM, you should apply for the job.
EGO's been a trooper through this rebuilding process, but I think he's reached his limits. Here's hoping the Rockets can find a trade deal that's a win-win for both team and player.
It is ok to just jettison Gordon for a 2nd rounder. Whatever we could’ve gotten previously is now just a kind of sunk cost. He has been here forever and it is time. Let him sit till after the trade deadline I guess. If we can’t find a deal for him, offer him whatever money he is guaranteed next year and let him go.
agreed that getting EG off the roster is addition by subtraction at this point. Stone likely missed his opportunity to get something of significant value for EG. That Milwaukee pick is gonna be worthless to us given the backlog of 1st round prospects already on our roster starving for development minutes. We basically have no need for another late first rounder. We need to convert that into something of future value.
Yeah that is what McMahon mentioned on podcast with Zach Lowe. Personally I don’t think Eric Gordon is a deal breaker for Harden to sign here or not.
Yes 100% fine - we are a developing team with tons of youngsters, learning as we go, developing fine is 100% correct..... If you want something different go out and get some veterans and let the kids cook with them. Until that happens the reality is that KPJ, Green and gang are all great for their age. DD
