Usage rate in essence just means the percentage of possessions that ended with that particular player in some form either turnover, assist, fga, fgm etc. It doesn't say how much someone dominates the ball. Green is pretty efficient with the time the ball is in his hands:
Yeah, that's completely dodging the substance of what was said by posting something irrelevant to fluff Jalen Green that you've posted about 20 times already. The facts you can't dispute are that when Jalen plays poorly, the Rockets lose, when he plays well, the Rockets win.....he just rarely plays well.
Do you also want me to show you his unassisted rate with fgm in wins vs losses to show you the difference play styles and in which games Green gets easier looks?
No, not really. I would prefer it if you stuck to what was being discussed rather than resorting to non sequiturs. I'm not concerned about the price of tea in China.
Your response about non sequiturs is you just avoiding to counter a valid argument about how different play styles help or hinder Green and what is the difference that makes Green have a good game vs bad besides shooting the ball.
Neither one of KPJ or Jalen are winning players as of now or impactful by any means. One is a very poor mans Harden and the other one is a poor mans Jordan Clarkson.
No, it's just you making an excuse for Green's underperformance. It's ALWAYS someone else's fault. He misses shots? Must be because of a bad pass. He gets blocked at the rim? Must have been due to someone else not setting him up well enough. I remember when the original Lin fans blamed Harden when Lin played poorly....the more things change, the more they stay the same.
Poor man's Harden yes. But Green is barely having a worse season than Clarkson's career year at age 30 with 8 years of NBA training and experience. Right now Green is playing like a poor man's Devin Booker.
Yo it's amazing how you can't imagine how a bad system surrounding a 20 year old sophomore can effect player development. It's just absurd how that hasn't even crossed your mind. Objectively we have some of the worst if not the worst pg play in the NBA. That doesn't mean KPJ is the worst player that plays pg. It just means he isn't a pg. He can be a multiple times all-star just in a different role. But again, objectively we have one of the worst pg play in the league and that is more the fault of a staff trusting a 22 year old who hardly ever played pg the keys to having possession time equipment of Halliburton and prime Damian Lillard. But it boggles my mind how you can't fathom how that can hinder the development of ALL our young talent even KPJ himself.
kpj isn't at the level of playmaking where folks can blame his teammates for not scoring. Man court vision is abysmal, his passing is subpar. Man can't even carry his team with his scoring abilities, doesn't even draw multiple defenders unless he's intentionally running into them to attempt inefficient shots. Doesn't draw fouls well enough. I'm not surprised any criticism against kpj u have booby deflecting to green once more. Kpj had a nice stat game and we get blown out by 20. Common occurrence
Absolutely, you're right, it's the system, or KPJ, or Silas, or the red rowdies not being rowdy enough, or the way Ryan Hollins says "Margarita", or the cheapskate owner not having the right kind of towels in the weight room.....ANYTHING but Jalen Green's fault. Most people look at this and say "You know, that guy at the very bottom? It must be everyone else getting in his way" There's no chance we should consider that Jalen Green is to blame for his own performance, he has absolutely no agency here.
Ignore King1 he just posts stupid 1 liners hoping to get someone to fight with him, he is a known hater of KPJ who has nothing of value to add to this or most conversations. DD
These numbers are based on BPM as in they are box score based stats. Horrible to evaluate defense with.
Facts! He’s the only guy I have on ignore. Dude is literally a bum who thinks he has inside connections and ****. He talks big ****, but I bet you he’s the biggest coward here
Of course, we have to completely ignore everything about it because we don't like what it says. That's the best route to go when there's no clear other person to blame.
