I truly feel Silas is sabotaging the season for picks. I'll chill on the KPJ hate since I do see some progression. He just needs to pass more and push the tempo.

What KPJ needs to do is learn that every time he has the ball he doesn't have to make the home run play that leads directly to a basket either from a direct assist or a bucket made. He only passes out when he thinks it's directly going to lead to an assist.

He doesn't want to be the type of pg that starts a chain of passes. He wants to be the center of a heliocentric offense.

no way folks choose kpj over green even if they ignore his past behavior issues.

Green is younger and already considered near or equal to kpj a fourth year vet who is also 2 years older by many folks on here.

U should always pick the younger and cheaper player cause the potential to get better is more likely and its cheaper to build around. folks picking kpj over green are just blinded by short term thinking.

Dude could be way over 10 assists per game if his teammates could actually shoot the ball well.

He generates 12 POTENTIAL assists per game. Divide that by his time of possession. So let's eliminate the variable of bad shooters.

See where does he ranks among all stating pgs given this calculation? This is your hw for today.

Ah yes, go ask a casual who will respond based on reputation. Brilliant.

Right now Green is a shooting guard who can't score efficiently and is one of the worst defensive players in the league....I know you think he's better than Kobe or whatever but that's just delusional.

Idk why people bring up his stats lol yes his numbers has looked good recently but if you watch the game its a different story sorry. Eye test shows that this guy is about his numbers instead of a team win.

KPJ IS NOT A FIRST OR SECOND OPTION IN A CONTENDER.

Where did you get that number because last night and recently it has been much higher.

You guys that are hating on him are missing out on a developing star and a great Houston Rocket's story.

Honestly... Regardless whether you think he's a "winner" or not, how does the team flow when he's running it?

    That's the question.

As I’m sure you know, as usual, your math on this is WAY off.

There’s only two players in the entire NBA averaging more than 10 assists and neither one of them is averaging “way” over 10 assists.

Those two particular players generate 19.8 and 18.2 potential assists per game. KPJ generates 11.9. For your crazy claim to be accurate essentially 100% of the potential assists KPJ creates would have to be converted into actual assists, which literally no one does. Ever.

Rockets make 39.1 out of 88.1 FGA per game for 44.3%(dead last). If they made 4 more shots on the exact same FGA they would be at 43.1 out of 88.1 FGA per game for 48.9% which would be good for 4th best in the entire league. If we magically attributed 100% of those 4 extra makes to KPJs assist total he still wouldn’t be over 10 assists per game.

The Pacers only shoot 2% better than Houston from the field. That’s not the reason Haliburton averages 10.2 and KPJ averages 5.8.

Kpj doesn't react or swing the ball quickly enough for us to break the zone.
He tries to score on the zone defense, instead of making the correct read.
I wish he would put aside his ego and play as a team.

There is a reason why the offense appears to be more fluid and the ball is being passed around when he is sitting on the bench.

Now imagine what it was before the past 4 games. Hence the concern. If KPJ with his dominance of the ball continues with his 17 potential assists per game then we can talk.

But then we also have to consider if we are going to do a full heliocentric offense around KPJ because he holds on to the ball as much as a heliocentric player

    That's not happening already?

In wins, who do you think has the highest usage and scoring bump on the team?

Jalen Green ALWAYS has the highest usage, so basically what you are pointing out is when he plays poorly, the Rockets lose. Unfortunately, he's played poorly in most games.

In wins (10 games) Green's TS% is 63.7, in losses (26 games) it is 49.6

For sure if Green played better more often, the Rockets would win a LOT more games. It's good that you pointed this out for everyone.
