This is not working….fire Silas, play Sengun for 30 minutes and play TyTy and Christopher….trade Gordon or do not dress out

    Ego is an all timer

Needed to be said and he stepped up to do it. Exactly the reason he is on this team. He’s the adult in the room, coach included.

Continuing to play under Silas is only going to hurt theSe young guys in the long run. Bad habits, bad offensive system, bad defensive system. Cut ties now, let Lucas finish the season. Move on to bigger and better things.

Wait but I read in the Harden thread that this one guys super respected YouTube channel said we were keeping Gordon because we want to bring Harden back and he was the key to doing so. Gordon is crucial to the plan.

Had Gordon won MVP and finished runner up like 3-4 other times he could easily have forced is way out

Gordon just needs to do his job, which is take a page from the Wall book and sit down until a trade comes down the pipeline, especially since he said it himself there is no improvement

I think if Smith or Green comes out and says there is no improvement and a coaching change would be better than it would speed up the process in man making a change

But I think Stone likes Silas a lot so he is going to do right by him(as he has mentioned and done with past players) and let him finish out his deal and look elsewhere after

    Well f*ck you Eric.

I've been saying it since the beginning of the season, there's no way that sh*tty on-court demeanor is not a bad influence around our prospects. Get this guy away from the team ASAP. He's toxic AF, always whining.

We have seen Eric Gordon for years good, bad, working hard to get his contract, aways doing what is asked of him. Playing out of position for years. I truly believe he is working behind the scenes trying to move on for a while. Sadly he is going to have to part in an ugly way because him being himself is not working. The organization has had deals they turned down in the past. This doesn’t help Gordon. It’s now 2023 move the man one way or another. He even switched agents so you know he is not happy. (Pun intended)

The man tells you the truth in terms overall improvement and he is uber toxic.

    Way to go...

His body language is still 3x better than what Harden showed at his end.

He hasn't been himself but doesn't mean he is a liar.

To me, the Rockets strategy is - this is a guard driven league, so we're going to develop our guards first as great individual players then worry about everyone else later. That has to be frustrating for Sengun and Jabari. But they are locked in so it's not like they can leave. But it's a danger to make them terribly unhappy.

Rockets are going to need to balance things out at some point.

Quite the opposite. EG started out as a two way All Star with big time talent. A guy that can handle the rock, drive/finish, shoot, and play D. VERSATILE - not limited... The road back from injuries allowed him to learn what it takes to be a true pro...dedication and sacrifice. He had always gotten by on talent and athleticism. That included accepting a role...which made him more efficient. But, due to his versatility, we often expanded that role. EG contributed mightily to battling one of the best teams in history every year...so much so, that we had a Championship stolen from us. While I wish we could have grabbed a first, I'm assuming the org wanted some degree of continuity/mentoring out there as you can't run all rooks and second year guys. As fans we should wish him well, as he'll always be a Rocket. It's almost the end of the road for him, and we'll likely use that contract as a facilitating piece. yes, his skills and body deteriorate...he's worn out..physically and mentally. This is natural for the position he's been in. Set this Rocket for life free...to knock down threes/play a little D for a contender.

I agree with everything you say but i don't think this is a guard driven league. I don't know why everyone assume this is a guard driven league.

Top 2 teams in the west : Nuggets and Pelicans
Top 2 teams in the east : Celtics and Nets

None of these teams play guard driven basketball.

That’s rich coming from you. Gordon has been nothing short of a consummate pro in comparison to your loser hero. Talkin about Ego being toxic AF and a bad influence while hoping for a Harden return? Gtfo here

Yes, that coming from a guy that dribbles off his feet 3/4 of the time
while just putting his head down and acting like a bull in a china shop.

Dude hasn't changed since his 3rd year in the league.

Just a spot up shooter never having fun.

New year, new Asian Sensation post complaining about Harden in a thread that has nothing to do with him. Never change big guy!

This should be posted in the thread where the OP is asking "Why is KPJ everyone's whipping boy?" With a mike drop emoji.

LOL, it's not an assumption it is a guard driven league.

Four teams are not the entire league and of those four you are wrong about 2 of them. Celtics and Nets have wing players that spend major minutes at the guard positions and the offense runs through them. Also, Zion is not your traditional big... plays a lot more like LeBron (guard/wing).

Replace the word guard with perimeter player or wing... whatever you like but the traditional big play is almost nonexistent right now. Technically I feel like the league is driven by forwards but they play like guards (primary ball handler, creating for others) so I'm not going to get into semantics.

Things are cyclical so maybe it will return but right now even the dominant bigs are shooting 3's and operating primarily outside of the post.

Wasn't what the thread was about... soooo I'll add... I've always felt E.G. (even with a few past comments) conducted himself as the consummate professional. Not sure what's happening behind the scenes that is cracking that veneer (can take some guesses) but it's past time for his sake and the teams that he was moved.

I thought maybe it was one of those journalists taking stuff out of context to make a headline.

****ing yikes. On par with Harden's this can't be fixed.
