What exactly are you providing in terms of evidence that Green is a worse defender than KPJ?

In your entire posting history in the GARM I've never seen you describe offensive sets, tactics, plays in any nuanced matter.

All your "analysis" can be summed up by you finding some cherry picked stat. At no point can you describe what is happening on the actual court.

Tell me what should the offense do when they incorporate a zone defense? What is the best way to bust the zone with our roster?

I just want to know if you can discuss the sport of basketball outside of spewing out fg% numbers.

There's no reason anyone would have to ask if they so much as watched basically any Rockets game the past 2 years, but sure, I'll show you evidence of it.

The Rockets have a 119 defensive rate with Jalen Green on the court, that improves to 111 by merely taking him off the court.

TPA has a defensive metric called "Defensive Points Saved", Green is at -50.91 on the season....the next worst Rocket is at -25.89

We can go by DBPM, Green is at -2.2, by far the worst on the team.

Honestly there's just no argument to be had here. Either you realize Jalen Green is the worst defensive player on the team....and one of the worst in the league, or you are simply too blind a fanboi for this kind of conversation.

Seriously, pick your battles better. Lately you've been picking battles where you have absolutely no chance, no argument to be had. It's why you keep coming off so simple minded. I remember in the past when you've made cogent arguments before, let's try to get back to that.

It's bs without context like this that shows your stupidity.

Ya and how many minutes do superstars like Luka or Gainnis are on the court when Jalen is on the bench? Jalen's rotation often mirrors the opposing team's superstars. So ya I would expect defensive ratings for the Rockets to improve when the likes of Luka or Booker or Gainnis go to the bench.

Do you want me to post on ball defensive numbers that actually eliminate the noise of rotations, team confounding factors etc?

BTW - on that lazy analysis of KPJ not getting back that is 100% a team breakdown, either EGo or Green are responsible as guys at the top of the circle to stop the first man back.

If you played or coached basketball at any level you would know this.....but .......well yeah.

Sure it is.....you still get the concepts, and plays down if you are a good coach......any measure of coaching is better than the pickup takes that are here on a day to day basis.

Lol dude. I was in local youth leagues as like a 10 year old. The coaches were dads who knew **** about basketball and just had free time.

Well that can certainly be the case with some - but you are extrapolating out for all - as for me, I started there ended up at AAU - and then stopped when my son got there so others could coach him.

You are right, some coaches are idiots, probably why I had a 3 year winning streak - because I taught concepts and the game - and we worked on fundamentals - and probably why I see the game on a different level than most people.

It is that way for all games for me....I look for ways to take advantage of others - all sports are games, being about to outcoach the other guy is a major advantage.

A realist, someone that can step back look at the overall roster and discuss what makes them better without any personal attachment to any player.

I would trade ANYONE on this roster if it made us more balanced and incrementally better......and I hate lazy analysis and stupidity on Twitter when people post stupid **** like KPJ is the reason for that bad transition defense - sure he should be busting it back, but that was JALEN's MAN he is the deepest player and responsible for cutting that pass off......

Dude you know if you are going to express your extensive experience then in just going to assume then you are a troll because your takes are laughably bad and generally are the type of takes that illicit reaction.

My takes are my takes, they come from my experiences and I have never cared 2 ***** for what other people think that is why I crush it as a coach or in business, because I do the research and know what works.....I am fine with others disagreeing or their experiences telling them something else.

I am sure your 10 year old YMCA experience is telling you something - whereas my 15 years of coaching and reffing is telling my something different.

It is a game, there are multiple ways to play it, coach it, win with it.....it is even possible we are both right, but one thing I never do is say - well, everyone thinks XYZ and therefore you are wrong, because the majority of people have a very low understanding of things....just a cursory viewpoint as a fan, and that is perfectly fine too.

People are busy, they don't have time to do the work or gain the knowledge, it is easier with social media to just b**** and moan with low level analysis, like the Hollinger video - just lazy lazy lazy.

And look how quickly it spread on Twitter, and here, as a GOTCHA moment when knowledgeable people see that as a TEAM breakdown more than an individual one....but the narrative is set for the avg joes.....and away it goes.

Try not to be average - be excellent.

So you either are lying about your 15 years of experience or a a troll. Which one?

    So who's number 21's man?

Hardaway was KPJ's man clearly. Is Green supposed to cover two men including 21?

If Green didn't cover 21, Luka was going to pass to him for a runaway dunk.

This is KPJ initially making the first mistake by not running with Hardaway and Smith Jr not long to his left when Hardest was running by him.
