He should put up those type of numbers being theIr franchise player who has free reign and can ball, didn't he put up big numbers before coming into league as a young prospect? Didn't he play pro ball overseas before entering draft? He is a willing passer who would loves to score 70, well at least that what he was promoted to be around the time his brother got drafted by the Lakers I would package a deal together if he became avail, but it would be to join my foundational picks being the 2nd/3rd overall which includes keeping Tari n Sengun
I like that you don't even attempt to address the factual basis of what I'm saying, you just respond with tears. A highly effective rhetorical tactic. The fact that you can't even attempt to make a case for why Charlotte would even entertain trading Ball for Green speaks for itself. You may be technically correct that it's an opinion.... but it's really just an obvious statement. It's also technically just my opinion that the Grizzlies wouldn't trade Ja for KJ Martin.... but it's also just an obvious statement. The Mavs wouldn't trade Luka for KPJ. Go ahead and get upset about it, but these are the kinds of statements that shouldn't have to be explained
Nobody is upset here, but you, my guy. I am sorry if pointing out how you try to debate struck a nerve. No need to get huffy about it. I have most assuredly made the case as to why I wouldn’t trade Jalen for Ball, as have many others. Just read through the thread. I think Jalen’s ceiling is leading scorer in the league and best player on a championship team. I literally said that in this thread. My whole point is there is no factual basis to what you’re saying - none. You think Ball is better, so you think Charlotte and the Rockets must as well, and you may well be correct, but, again, that is pure conjecture.
LaMelo is needed to complement Jalen Green, not to replace him. Right now, this is a moot point since we're in the Scoot Henderson/ Wemby stakes.
I think that would be a trade you look back on in 5 years and regret it massively. Lamelo is better right now. I think JG is the better player in the future.
Ask patience for all the time in the world for kpj, already making threads and post to get rid of green
Green has his flaws, but how often does a 2nd year guard not have any? Close to never. It's crazy he's done as well as he has in his situation. He's playing for a coach who whether by design or not, appears to be out of his depth routinely. He's playing with a "PG" who is just as inept nearly all the time which may be by design as well. Put him in a situation with a better coaching staff, a smarter, more mature lead guard and see what happens.
Your argument is based on feels, you feel like one day Jalen will be better.... great, but there's no reason to assume anyone shares those feels. Someone could feel like Garrison Matthews will one day be better than Jimmy Butler.... but much like your Jalen Green feels, there's nothing of substance to back that up. Standard assumptions should be that a GM is going to act relatively rationally, meaning there has to be an argument beyond your subjective feels or homerism. If you compare Ball to Green, they are roughly the same when it comes to scoring efficiency but Ball has a MUCH better handle and more polished guard skills. Ball can operate as the primary ball handler, Green cannot as of now. There's an argument that the Rockets would want the better ball handler, there's no argument (beyond homerism or "feels") that the Hornets would want the less developed, less skilled player. I know some fans have convinced themselves that Jalen is the reincarnation of Kobe, but that's not something that there is any evidence for. Right now he's a low efficiency one way player that can't reliably create for others or be the primary ball handler. We all hope he'll develop far beyond that, but teams don't trade away their franchise player based on hope.
You’re entitled to your opinion about Jalen. Lord knows you’ve been denigrating him and embarrassing yourself regarding him since before the draft. That’s fine, you do you. My whole point was just in pointing out your rhetoric style and that your opinions aren’t actually facts, no matter how often you pass them off as such. Jah bless, my guy.
I'm implying that one exists...and that it's not merely an opinion that the Heat would not be interested in trading Butler for Mathews. Do I know it for a fact? Technically, no, but it goes WAY beyond opinion when you assume both parties are rational actors that are reasonably informed.
Once again you fail at reading comprehension - no one is down on Green, this is about roster balance, if KPJ could net us LaMelo I would do that, but he won't.....but we should explore it, maybe KPJ, EGo, and Christopher and this year's pick. DD
So ya you think the delta between Mathews and Butler is similar to Green and LaMelo. Stop trolling. Be less obvious at least.
