Thats fair, but the Rockets facing off the GOAT team in the WCF(and took them to 7) is also an impressive accomplishment. I just think in totality when you look stats and accolades strictly as a Rocket, Harden is greater. He also means more to the city than Moses.

Not when you’re selected by the actual coaches. Popularity solely comes from the starters. and funny how there’s nothing to say about his all nba teams. Arm chair coaches on the internet like yourself know more right. Makes sense

yeah he’s leading his team to the playoffs continuously. Meanwhile what have the rockets been doing? Oh that’s right being the worst in the league for years. You have no business trying to use that card to dismiss him when your alternative is being rock bottom trash.

This thread has always been a ironic barometer of who has westbrick level iq and those have have at minimal a positive bball iq. The usual folks to no surprise are on the westbrick side

folks like you took for granted how hard it is to find players that impact actual winning on a consistent basis. Now you’re forced to project certain players as being certain guys hoping and praying one day they could get back to even close to that level when cp3 was here.

The bump of this thread just got me re-pissed at Harden, man eff him.

"Get me Dwight." We get Dwight.
"I don't like Dwight." Gets rid of Dwight
"Get me CP3" Gets him CP3
    "I don't like CP3, I want Russ." Does it
Turns out Russ then cant get away from Harden fast enough.
"I don't like it here anymore, y'all aint help me enough to do enough, trade me" They trade him

If the Rockets gave lil Baby front office / coaching staff job and replaced those halftime shows with strip club performers he would have kept quiet and signed that extension and retired a Rocket

Chris Paul would've been banned from the League. But because he is so smart as a Point Guard. A team always need him. And gets Heavily Paid.

Scott Foster always will be Chris Paul Enemy. I feel he would the Grim Reaper of Chris Paul. Or he is a Hitman on Chris Paul.

Rockets biggest Mistake was not Tanking before James Harden. If the Rockets Properly Tanked. Leslie Alexander was the biggest Culprit against Tanking and Daryl Morey constantly traded 6 player trades until Lowry, Dragic, Harden. Chemistry is never built this way.

Get Top Picks in the Draft. Rebuild the Team Properly and the Young Players Developed Chemistry.

The Rockets would've been better off instead. 14th pick.

lol Paul is highly over rated. Lets see how he goes without Booker, trying to keep Phoenix afloat in the Playoff race. Houston will miss the Playoffs for the third year in a row...............that is hardly a long streak. You are clearly one fan who took the winning seasons for granted.

Harden was the only player who could keep Westbrook in check.

Just enjoy the rebuild, we are not far away from flying up the standings again.

Overrated. The lame logic that’s always used when there’s nothing else. A player who impacts winning at an extremely high level on every team he’s been on and still to this day. And you’re alternative is what? Oh wait you have no idea what you’re even defending. You’re sitting there actually trying to dismiss an all time great pg who has proven to still be one of the best players in the league since leaving Houston.

And they’ll continue to miss the playoffs. Me take for granted? That makes no sense. I’m the one calling what was going to happen when they destroyed that team and have been right ever since. That this team would suck for years. That’s actually appreciating a rare perennial contender. You on the other hand are on the opposite spectrum. The loser side

Nobody keeps westbrick in check. He did nothing to change him nor can anyone else

theres nothing to enjoy. Unless you enjoy losing and losers which it sounds like when you’re trying to dismiss players leading teams to the playoffs

Umm yeah they’re very far away. Like I said arm chair folks like you hoping praying and going through all the mental hoops that things are going to turn out great fast. Nah not happening

He made Westbrook play to his strengths and cut out his threes. Westbrook shot his highest ever percentage at 47 percent while with the Rockets, while also cutting out his three point attempts. His threes were his least since his 4th season.

lol they are rebuilding, give them time. Have patience, no one is up there forever

Westbrick has played the same way. Nothing changed. More mental hoops. Gtfoh with that nonsense. Dude was just abysmal with his brickfest and constant dumb decision making just like Tilman

Lol they are rebuilding. Yeah bc it was forced. You keep bringing it up like it’s breaking news. they’ll suck for a long time

    Forced?

Thank goodness we sold Harden high. Harden has a few good years left in him. Keeping him would make our franchise turn into the Knicks, a long term middling team. We don't have an Embid or Durant when Harden left where we would consider ourselves contenders. So ya we were about to be on the verge of half a decade of Knicks level fringe playoff team basketball with no hope for the future because we acquired no high level young talent through the draft.

If you are more down on the core of this team for the long term than the general non biased NBA analyst community then you are just being irrational.

Yeah it was forced. When your destroy a perennial contender in a span of 2 years this is what happens. This was never the plan. No competent franchise does that. This was a forced rebuild as a results of idiotic decisions and failing to use assets the right way

no it’s called common sense and not being delusional. I mean the Knicks are better than the rockets and will be for the foreseeable future. Not even sure why you’re trying to bring them up.

Then you didn't really pay attention when he was with us

We had to rebuild at sometime, we were old. We will be fine. Stop being so negative

Yeah sure I didn’t. I don’t need to go through mental hoops like you to tell folks something that didn’t happen. lol at someone acting like westbrick changed. What a bunch of absolute bs

nah. They didn’t. I do what I want and tell it like it is. And loser mentality ain’t one of them

The Knicks for the longest time have been a mid team. They still are a mid team with no talent that have ceilings as high as 3 of our players (Green, Sengun, Jabari). They will be mid for the foreseeable future. The Rockets when they are in win now mode will probably also aquire a more veteran star to complement our young stars.

You are probably more down on the future of this team than the general non Rocket NBA media and fanbase. That should tell you something.

Harden at the point of his career is a 2 or 1b at the very most on a contender. That means for him to actually win he needed to go to a team with a established MVP caliber level player and Embid is the best he can do and he has a chance there maybe.

But him staying on the Rockets as 1a at this stage of his career is asking for a future of being mid acquiring no high level blue chip level talent for a future long term core.

Ask any neutral NBA fan or analyst. They will tell you that teams like the Rockets and Magic have a better future than a lot of current mid teams that have aging stars clinging on to their last hopes for deep runs in the playoffs.
