Ugh, enough of this argument. The guy literally said Silas uses KPJ "like Luka." His argument is that KPJ is the focal point of the offense, and usage rate, NOT TOP, is a far better indication of that. KPJ's TOP is high because he brings up the ball, period. KPJ is far from our offensive focal point, and he's not in the same stratosphere as a guy like Luka.

That is SO easy to beat you flash a guy to the FT line, pass it quickly to him as Sengun seals the fronted man behind him and has a dunk at the rim.

    It is literally easy.

I mean I have counted 7 straight passes over these last 2 games to Jabari for wide open shots that he has BRICKED.

    SEVEN!

This team needs someone that can shoot, and shoot consistently.....just ONE guy to help a ton.

I don't see any fan as dumb, fans just have different opinions. If the Rockets won the chip, I would be as equally happy for ALL the players not just KPJ, Green or Sengun....I HOPE ALL ROCKET FANS ARE LIKE THAT.

However, I'm a fan of KPJ's game because out of all the players on the team, he has proven to be the most consistent. Green, Sengun, Jabari, EG, Tari all have been up and down.

For instance, as I stated earlier as good as he played last night, he was a -10 and that's because of the other players.

The objective is to WIN! And the only way that's going to happen is if the team plays more CONSISTENT. Not just him. Not pointing fingers but Sengun can not go from having one of his best games to one of his worst games....that's inconsistent.

    Yes....league wide.

Reason often being teams are smarter.

I've often said Popovich often used a 6'8" wing (Kawhi) to front a player like Aldridge (LMA) forcing a lob pass....but another wing on the back tier of defense ready to tap the lob to a teammate.

This is why I say don't build around a post up threat. The playoff teams shut it down

Not when the defense plays like a wolf pack
and a defender is guarding two people like I
    saw last night.

Halfway between their assignment and the post player.

I agree. The frustrating thing to me is I feel like we have the guys but they aren't hitting them. Sometimes I watch Jalen Green shoot and think he looks like Steph Curry out there - then you look at the percentages. Jabari is definitely showing improvement but he isn't yet there. And KPJ is generally really good on the catch and shoot, but does it even matter when the ball is almost always in his hands?

And obviously Josh Christopher would be shooting like 66% from the three if they would just play him.

Everyone else's fault, eh? Interesting... Seems to me that it is often KPJ that sets the losing tempo.

KPJ needs to make a massive leap in quantifying what is occurring on the basketball court. He is slow to recognize mismatches, incapable of making an array of reads that most point guards can make, and the natural tempo he sets does not seem to make his teammates better. You could still pop DJ Augustin or Dennis Schrodinger in at starting PG, marginal guards, and you would instantly notice an improvement. The clock is ticking. If JG/Jabari/Sengun are playing like this in year 4 at 22-23 years old, I am going to weep.

    KPJ playing "full-time PG"?
"Year -1" = his 26 games with us in 2020-2021.

    Turnover %
    • Year -1: 18.2
    • Year 1: 17.7
    • Year 2: 17.1
    Assist %
    • Year -1: 31.2
    • Year 1: 30.7
    • Year 2: 27.0
    A2T Ratio
    • Year -1: 1.80
    • Year 1: 1.96
    • Year 2: 1.55

And yet, he leads the entire NBA in turnovers. Also, KPJ has a near identical usage to James Harden. JAMES... HARDEN... :D

That is certainly one way to run your team. I'd be using/developing Jabari and Sengun a hell of a lot more, myself. This must be something that y'all and Stephen Silas have in common.

As someone who loves their totals, there are currently zero players in the nba who have more then KPJs 122 turnovers

Fair enough, he leads the league with the MOST Turnovers, just like Harden did who had the most turnovers in a season in NBA history - i will concede that point.

i wouldnt concentrate on how much turnovers he makes...couldnt care less...its irrelevant.... whats important is whether he succeeds in engaging and making other players productive, more efficient and playing lika a team...

Is it possible to make your teammates better as a PG with a 1.5 to 1 A/T ratio?

    Has that ever happened?

You’d better have a ridiculous TS% to make that usage worthwhile I’d venture. It’s a good thing that KPJ has Russell Westbrook shooting percentages and a head coach that believes in him.

No he has a higher turnover percentage then the others. Luke basically never turns it over, he’s only around 12% which is fantastic.
