i am sure hed scored plenty if he were the playmaker entrusted with the ball and the entire team would have played better...

so this is how you judge the contributions of players?
typical stat padding worshipping.. you may be best player on the court without even scoring once and vice versa you may score 30 and be the main culprit for the loss ie the worst contributor

Did you give credit to Silas for giving him ball when he scored 25pts?

Go GET the ball. Isn't that what your best player does?

I mean you just listed two of the best defensive players in the league.

This was a bad match up for Sengun. But I still think Silas played him way too few minutes. Sengun definitely deserves a longer leash.

The entry passes were bad and sengun struggled when he got the ball. Also, the drop coverage killed on the DHO they were running. Boston is no joke. It was a rough game for our front court as a whole

Its just wild that Sengun couldnt even take advantage of Smart when mismatched. Without a jump shot to save him from the better defenders he will be just another guy out there vs the real contenders who take defense seriously. It was an example of why some more concerned fans have pointed towards 'playoff basketball' and where does Sengun fit without a basic jumper to keep the defense honest. You're playing 4 v 5 in those games like last night where you had 2 teams taking 45 and 56 3's - you cant just slow it down to feed your post guy and when you do the defenders work so well together that they can take it away with a combo guard! Last night was the epitome of "Rocket Ball" where teams launch 3's, push pace and get to the FT line. Good news is that Sengun is a decent enough free throw shooter that the jump shot should be able to develop. When that happens it opens up the game for everyone in particular vs those better defensive/playoff teams. Sure is a far cry from beating up on the 23rd ranked Bulls and getting smoked by the best defense in the NBA last night with the C's. Lets you know where you stand.

This is actually the crux of it. Everyone here is either blaming Silas, KPJ or Sengun himself. In truth, the worst team in the league just faced a championship contender and got shown what that looks like on the defensive end.

He struggled against the Celtics, that’s what I mean. But next game he’ll be back on track

Can’t agree more. Silas isn’t doing Sengun any favors that’s for sure.

It is odd to be fair, I expected at least 20 times the amount of excuses that I've seen (though obviously the excuses are still there haha.) Where's that one dude who acts superior all the time and thinks they know everything who said we had a better frontcourt than theirs at the beginning of the game thread?

theres no guarantee for that..he may as well continue to 'struggle'....the only solution is to fire silas

alpi is an afterthought on this team, playing worst kind of minutes and role where he s not played to his strengths and its understandable when hes not giving us everything he can....

jalen ego and especially KPJ, however have no such an alibi... they are consistently given plenty of minutes and ball to do whatever they like regardless if they suck, trash or clueless...

theres ZERO justfication for alpi playing 20 minutes in the tanking year struggle or not....

no, if you have to fight the teammates or the opponents to get the ball system has already failed....

way to deflect the blame from the real culprits....theres a reason this team is the worst in nba... when you refuse to play your best player the appropriate minutes and the appropriate role then its only the coach to blame....
silas only fans are the worst!
