KPJ: Can someone explain to me why he has become Clutchfans favorite whipping boy?

He balled tonight, if he can ever consistently get double-digit assist games and have a 2-to-1 turnover ratio he will officially turn the corner. Don't know if it will happen this season, he's a talented player but that goal would legitimize him at point guard.

 

28 team assists tonight. Is the nba.com site correct? For the most part everyone was taking their shots in flow of the offense. 22 shots seem like a lot but not really, when you're making it

KPJ should have had 15+ assists tonight if his teamates could hit wide open shots....Sengun even got 4 buckets off of KPJ passes.

All the narratives are exploding as this is EXACTLY what the org wants to see, and young teams take a while to figure it out, tonight they did, let's hope they can keep it going.

Great game for the team and the org if they learn from it.

Y'all are welcome - I finally managed to trade KPJ in fantasy - and he's responded by having two of his best three games of the entire season in the past week.

I'll post the same thing in here as I did the game thread to show those lunatics that credit is given where it's due:

Does Porter have more assists to Sengun tonight, than the rest of the season combined?

I don't even think I'm exaggerating when I ask that.

Can only hope Porter realises how much better the team is - and in turn the game is for him... as evidenced by having his best game of the season - when he is unselfish and gets Sengun into the offense.

Since it's Christmas let me say a generous thing about KPJ.

Not only did he hit a ton of shots tonight, but his style is really convenient.

I had to go out earlier and was not able to catch the usual soul defiling of a Rockets game live - so i had to watch on delay via the LP app.

Normally i fast forward through the timeouts and dead balls and FTs, but KPJ's "walk it up" style - which was in full effect tonight since he was taking and making lots of hard shots, gives me the opportunity to hit the "Forward 10 seconds" button as soon as the Rockets inbound the ball and KPJ is usually just beginning to initiate some action right around the 3 point line - easily shaves minutes off the game viewing experience.

I predicted that Jalen and Alpi wouldnt score many points in the 4th because its what KPJ does. Its great that they won and Im happy for him that he finally had an efficient game but dont act like he is this good most of the time he isnt and that just a fact you can be mad all you want I dont care lol In the future it will be a problem in fact it already is.

 

He was amazing tonight, if Jabari could hit an open 3pt shot he would have had at least 4 more assists there alone, 7 more if you could Ego and Jabari....

KPJ was magnificent with the ball tonight, and ran the offense as it is supposed to be run, this is a glimpse of what the org is looking for on a more consistent basis, hopefully that happens, but young teams are notoriously up and down as are young players.

So, let's hope Boston tomorrow is a continuation of tonight.

More decisive, better floor general, better defense tonight. I haven't been a huge KPJ at PG fan but he looked real good tonight.

 

He has not turned the corner, he still has dribbling problems. He will not play the same way tomorrow, he will be dribble happy, looking not to pass Sengun and taking crazy shots at the last minute

 

Why the negativity? Sounds like you want him to do bad bc you can’t put your hate to the side. You’d rather be right than to want one of our players to succeed. Sad

 

Because KPJ has consistently been playing like that since last year.

 

He’s young. Him and Sengun are developing chemistry. I’m gonna hope for the best with all of these young guys. Done with that hatin ****

Today was a great game for KPJ period... But.....
Tomorrow gonna be back to the drawing board... Ain't no way he plays like this against Boston...

 

The concern isn’t that he does bad or amazing, the concern is he does “ok” and thus continues to be the PG long term. If he’s terrible, that’s fine. If he’s great, that’s amazing. If he’s ok, that’s a disaster

 

He saw this team get the most attention it’s had all season about Harden maybe wanting to take his job next year. Good to see it light a fire under his ass.

 

Because someone in this post talked **** saying "the haters are quiet". Telling the truth about KPJ's game is not "Hating". He had a great game tonight but even tonight if he didnt hit those shots that he usually doesnt it'd be the same ole same ole KPJ playing keepaway form Jalen and Sengun in the fourth. The difference is he made the shots THIS time. I will tell you I really really hope for the sake of this team that KPJ is a superstar because if not we are SCREWED. They invested everything around him and I doubt Silas will ever move him at all so we are stuck. So for all our sakes I hope he plays this good all the time, (can't wait till next game). Please KPJ quiet the "Haters" I beg you. Im praying for it.
