If the problem we have is that we have a lot of talent in the frontcourt, I'm not that worried in all honesty. If we get Wemby then we just run all the guys every which way you can and see how it fits, or maybe someone comes off the bench. Worked for the Spurs having one of their top players off the bench for years, and hell, maybe somebody moves position a little. Wemby's skillset is definitely more wing-esque from what I've seen. Jabari could also slide to the 3 fairly easily in the future, he defends great on the perimeter which is usually the thing holding taller wings back...

Our young Rockets were efficient, unselfish, and blew out the Bulls twice in one game!

Maybe a change of scenery is what we needed. Maybe it really WAS the holidays. But whatever the reason, our guys finally started hitting shots and that opened up EVERYTHING.

All of our most talked about players (Sengun, Green, KPJ) had great games and the Rockets have now won double digit games at last.

I guess this was their Christmas present to us

Chicago has the swag of a lottery team that’s just going through the motions and hates the coach

Sengun had to bring his father in to scare Silas into playing him 32 minutes.

Tari needs to take notes. Take mama to practice.

Wemby is a center and goon is too slow to play 4. You can’t take Jabari off the court because of his defensive versatility and his ability to stretch the floor. I could see it in spurts but I don’t know about starting them together.

The big thing for me is that they did not give up after the Bulls climbed back and took the lead during the last few minutes in the second quarter. That's good confidence building.

Although they make us hate basketball sometimes, these games show us flashes of what could be. When we get a more balanced roster, this could turn out to be pretty special. Goodnight everyone.

Was it though? He missed a spin around hook shot and 14 ft jumper! Do better, Alpi.

I know you're a SOF but you felt he was better than 36/7/8?

Maybe that's the reason why Silas played him more and KPJ passed to him more in their pick n roll situations

Wemby is a 4 on offense, 4/5 on defense. Alp can defend on switches, perimeter and getting better on post defense-which will come with strength. Having an eraser will help too.
League is going back to big ball, it would work

Lol Alpi can’t defend on perimeter … he’s good in drop coverage and rotating from weakside for block

Pretty sure that was his 50/11/5 game, but he did play well tonight too.

He can play outside on offense but I think you’d want him down low on defense. He’s too good of a shot blocker. Then that leave goon defending 4’s and that’s gonna be tough. I’m all for acquiring as much talent as possible but I think it’ll be tough asking guys that are clearly starters to come off the bench especially when they’re all trying to make their mark and looking forward to their first big deals.
