Hey man... if u wanna go on a fools errand chasing that narcissistic b*stard - u do u... lol!
If he called up and wanted to back on a sweetheart deal - sure i'd be open to it - u dont turn down talent... but that aint whats happenin...
If u wanna put out to yer young pups that u wanna spend your efforts chasing a re-tread on his downward.... rather than 'building the team for the future...' - whatever i guess... it aint like we're building the right culture and mindset anyway... lol
I'm saying its wasted effort, dude... a pipe dream...
    why not pursue it?
cause we should have more important things to do than screwin around helping this egotistical sob...

As others stated we have no draft pick next year, cap space opens up and he's likely the best free agent we can get based on a need.

Next year it's time to start winning and build around our top three picks, so for everyone who wanted a winning culture and teaching young guys to win at a higher level, this is an opportunity.

Harden will instantly help us win more and show what a true star can do and what that level looks like.

Nothing is perfect and no one, as well as Harden, is of course. I understand the emotion, but it's not a relationship but more like hiring a star to do a job at a company.

If things don't work you can change them afterward, but again, we're a last-place team who needs all the star talent it can get.

The idea that watching Harden dribble is going to stunt the growth of our young players as if watching KPJ dribble...then turn it over, is any better.

Watching KPJ screw up a 3 on 1 fastbreak down by 2 with like a minute less in the game is soooo much better for the young guys!

Kjayp and Jr doesn't want harden back but offers no valid alternatives.

    If we don't draft Scoot.

What then kpj pg experiment season 3 and hope he becomes better? Tyty magically takes over the pg position?

Hell harden probably isn't coming back but if he does it's a way better option than kpj at the helm or whoever is on the free agency list.

Some folks r Petty as fk and r fine watching us get dick down another season with subpar kpj pg abilities rather than accept harden back into the fold.

Really reminds me of the dumba$$es who wanted to watch losing team ball over iso harden.

That's actually funny. Sammy who doesn't like rookies Green and Bari is now suddenly a semi washed Harden fanling.

Guess what Harden is the one declining, younger guys are growing up.

The KPJ experience should have nothing to do with Harden coming back or not, it is a testament that the Stone and Silas construct is beyond flawed.

I was being serious. That’s a friend of our family did it to memorialize him, but probably should change. Really thought the post was funny, don’t know why maybe the 6 buffalo traces.

They have no alternatives because like us they are sitting ducks stuck with an owner Tilman, stuck with Stone and Silas, what can a normal fan do outside of b****ing?

Make no mistake, Harden is a massive, overweight bandaid, and bandaids do come off in due time.

(I haven't actually heard anyone mentioning it so throwing it out there.)

It kinda does. We need a capable playmaker, kpj ain't it. If u realize that u need to address it. Harden is probably the best option u got in the free agency.

There's some reasonable options which I ranked to addresd the playmaking position.

    1. Draft Scoot (assuming we whiff on wemby)
    2. Sign harden
    3. Sign a pg free agent
    4. Trade for a pg
    5. Continue the kpj experiment

I would like for tyty to b given the chance to b our pg but it's seems like silas ain't willing to do it. Only a vet or scoot can knock kpj from his position as pg.

Harden is a bandaid but it helps the youngster develop way better than what kpj can do.

Hahaha, that is the funniest thing choosing the lesser but geriatric evil over the inexperienced bigger evil.

Prolly feeling like choosing Biden over then Trump.

We have ours in 2023 and the Nets in 2024 which could be really good depending on their off-season or injuries. Would still like to get James but for only a couple of years.

We don't have a plan going forward knowing all ramifications.

All we know is Harden's side is negotiating with the Sixers and Morey and nonchalantly his mom the manager or whoever mentioned Houston...

We don't know years, sum, anything, nada....it's a rumor, guys.

Just funny to see people flipping out or ready to suck some D before anything is close.

I hope you all have some self respect dealing with a complicated Ex.

For the Harden haters, all you really need to do ask them what should be done instead and you will quickly watch thier positions go up in flames.

True but I am not selling my SO and house for him.

The road ahead without Harden is a hard one but worthwhile waiting for.

Harden is also much more injury prone then he was here, people just forget the negative tidbits.

He doesn't even have many years left.

Why get nasty about it? It’s just a basketball opinion. I don’t think harden is coming back just laid out a scenario where it would be acceptable. This board has really gotten toxic.

I don't buy it as a negotiation tactic. Harden was going to sign a 3 year deal with Philly before he ultimately took a 1 year paycut to bring his pals in. Daryl would happily fork over the max. It's a legit change of heart on his end. Just like last year when he didn't sign the supermax with Brooklyn, it set off an alarm to people in the league that he was looking to leave. And he did. This is the exact same thing. He is legit thinking of coming back.

Who knows whether it's because he misses the lifestyle in Houston, or the fans, or something. But it definitely isn't a basketball-related move. He's not coming back because he wants to mentor JG KPJ and company. He's going to want to ship everyone for another superstar and contend for the title. I mean, he left us in the first place because he no longer wanted to be the "leader" and "#1 guy" and he was desperate for a ring. I don't see how that changes.

The once beloved 24 year old Californian native who got out of OKC is gone and turned into a selfish egomaniac whose idea of winning it all is pairing himself up with every star in the league.

The transformation took place you guessed it in Houston.

Bye bye OKC Harden and young Houstonian Harden.

    A greyish beard remained.
