I suppose it’s just pure coincidence the amount of free throws, 3 pointers, and shots inside the paint we take?

It gets tiresome to hear about “no system” when our shots are clearly part of a system. We just aren’t good because we are so young and have a hard time executing. We have too many young players trying to stand out and develop.

Or how about some wishful thinking and take a small piece of KD (natural shooting ability) and KG (defense/tenacity) and KM(offseasons with the Dream to work on post/footwork game)

That would be the more realistic approach, especially since he has similar frame to all three of those HOFers

There’s literally no signs Jabari will even become a better LMA / Rashard Lewis / Christian Wood with D and you went straight to a KG/KD/KM hybrid.

Players will become their own version, they rarely become someone else.

Well if u can comprehend I said piece of each one which he is on par because he has two of three traits i mentioned at 19 yr old, the post / footwork will be what he has to add

KG wasn't prime 2001-08 KG his rookie yr, Jabari was getting shooting comparisons to Texas version of KD, and Lewis was another sniper who had handle package but it wasn't like a TMac/KD level and he came I think straight out of HS and wasn't just yet 09' Orlando version

So what I posted is nothing outrageous if you can read accurately and take it for what I posted it to be, he already has the natural shot and the tenacity, all he has to do is work on his handle and with the Dream for the next at least 3 offseasons like otherS did later in career like Kobe/LBJ did, but Jabari has exclusive VIP access to it immediately, rather he uses that is on him

He is going to be as good as he wants as long as he stays healthy and he keeps workout regime full throttle

True, but even the legends took something from those prior, like KD said he studied TMac game/style and others I could add as well, but in the end its their own individual game that will do the talking

I wonder how much Hakeem gets paid to do a coaching session.

Same, probably a package of sessions with a half up front $ and other half when a certain number is completed, would have to get the Kobe/LBJ camp on conference call to get the actual price though, I would imagine Rockets players get a hometown discount

Jabari might be a big Trevor Ariza who can actually shoot the ball light out. I don't see him ever being the offensive threats as the greats simply because he doesn't really know how to do the most basic things offensively around the basket.

Once the season is over and the real work starts, he needs to really get a handle on his ball handling. He's starting to be more assertive with ball but still looks a little shaky.

His improvement over the last 15 games is a great sign. If he continues to improve and starts hitting his shots, with 26 games to go until the break, there's a slim chance he could sneak into the ROY discussion. Doubt he wins it, but his trajectory is looking up!

Jabari should watch Dirk and mold his game after him.

The stupidity is some internet rando typing angrily on his keyboard somewhere with no insider info or intel being adamant the players are developing without any help from the coaching staff.

After watching Jabari's ascent not even halfway thru the season I am convinced he is our best player.

Everybody wants to talk about the scoring but the reality is A1 scoring options are a dime a dozen in the NBA nowadays. There's always a scoring star who is stuck on a bad team who could use a change of scenery. Booker, Lavigne, Trae Young, even Harden....the list goes on. Jabari may not be a 30 ppg scorer in the future but he becomes a superstar because we can match him vs other superstars. We can.put him on Giannis, Luka, Tatum etc and he won't embarass himself. Unlike a defensive specialist like Ariza or Tucker, not only can Jabari defend, the other team also needs to defend him otherwise he will go off for 20+ on putbacks and open 3s while gobbling up rebs and doing the little things to win games.

I'm excited tbh. Young guys just need a couple more years in the oven and they'll be ready to compete.

People really overrate how good an offensive player Garnett was. Smith can absolutely reach his level.

Durant is one of the greatest individual offensive players ever, him reaching that level is an absurd expectation.

We're 10th in 3 point attempts this year, so I'm not actually sure what coincidence your noticing. If our plan is to be near the average with high variance, then we're doing great. You're probably just extrapolating past seasons when we DID have a system to this year.

The reality of course, is that average teams with high variance are typically that way because they either A) don't have a system or B) are not executing the system they do have.

Both of these are coaching issues.

People see someone knock down shots and they think it is going to be the same as carrying a team on your back scoringwise.

Ah okay you are doing it, I thought you were saying Garnett was underrated, my bad.

There's been videos both from Chop Shop and Locked On explaining that the Rockets do have a system. Issue is personel as well as the coaching staff actually trying to lose games. If the Rockets just built around Sengun setting everyone up we'd win more games. A lot more. They just don't want to.

We'll know a lot more about this staff and this team next year.

Jabari's biggest step will be mid post game. He needs to get with Hakeem and develop that post mid range shot. I hope he doesn't settle for just stretch big. If he can develop proper he can be a mix of KG & Bosh
