We are ALL clueless and just guessing how players will turn out years into the future.

Uh, can get by anyone in the league off the dribble. In the top 1% of the league in athletic ability. Improvement in facilitating, FT attempts a game significantly from year 1-2.

His issue will be a consistent jumper. If he can pull that together, he potentially is one of the best players in the league.

Not sure how that is even remotely hard to see.

May be some truth to this based on what people who build teams for a living think. We have gotten calls for Jabari, Tari, and KJ. Those that think Sengun is not being respected by the franchise, and is not being utilized correctly, etc. keep that in mind, no calls for Sengun reported so far. You would think if he is being under valued and under utilized, we would be getting a lot of interest.

Yes and claiming a player who shoots 39% from the field who has a 25% unassisted rate is possibly our best player is absurd.

No one is going to call for Green or Sengun because they know the answer will be no

If that were true, that still proves the SOFs wrong then, because that proves that the Rockets value Sengun.

Jalen Green had a horrible atrocious first half of the season of his rookie year. It still wasn't as bad efficiency was as Jabari and Green had 50% of his shots during that first half of his rookie year unassisted compared to like 25% for Jabari.

So Jabari is even less efficient than Green during his worst stretch of his career while taking easier shots created more often by his teammates than Green.

What about a guy who can rise up and shoot over anyone he wants at 6’11”? What about a a guy who’s gonna have a a giannis or AD body down the road? He has 25 & 10 potential will all NBA D. Jalen can’t touch that

    The Rockets do value Sengun?

Why do fans put so much stock on the day to day wins and minutes distribution? This team isn't at that stage where we should care about that.

Ask anyone in the league and it's clearly Green and then a step below Sengun as our most valuable trade assets.

**** even Bill Simmons agrees with that.

You may be right, but I'd like some proof. How do you know all this?

So we can call any skinny 6'11" forward the next Giannis and just assume they'll magically fill out into the tank that Giannis is?

Jabari can't just shoot over anybody. If he could he could create more than just 25% of his looks unassisted.

Giannis at 19 was doing more self creation than Jabari. You can see it in their unassisted rate for their respective rookie years.

As a person who wanted Green and Smith in their respective drafts, I don't care which one ends up our best player. Both players have a lot of stuff to improve on if they want to be the best player on a championship team (lets call that... top 5 player).

Fortunately for the Rockets, even if neither develops into a top 5 player, you can win a championship with two top 15 players who compliment each other + the right pieces (defense, etc). This is and has always been the most likely scenario in rebuild (second to drafting a generational talent -- Wemby, Giannis, Steph, Lebron, etc).

Green and Smith have an amazing work ethic and can fit extremely well together. I personally think Green easily has the highest upside on our team. I don't get why people get gloomy around here but I'm thrilled to have our young core in a third year of a rebuild (2 if you don't count the tear down).

I said Giannis or AD. It’s not just any skinny guy, you can tell by his frame and also his dad was a 240 lbs guy. He can shoot over anyone. I’m talking about what he is now, I’m talking about his ceiling and what he can be. I also never said he’ll play like Giannis or be on his level or anything
