well this is the self perpetuating vicious cycle initiated by inept coach Silas, if you denie player minutes in the clutch for 2 years in a row of course he wont perform well when you suddenly put him in at crucial moments

this guy did a splendid job of r****ding sengods development and rise into power...

imagine how much easier it is for jalen to play late in close games because he was never benched in the clutch and was given ball and possessions to experiment and get used to playing under pressure for 2 years now

Came back to this thread, and yep it's definitely the holidays. Look at all these fools going back and forth as if they were at the dinner table. @Os Trigonum

Stephen Silas is tearing us all apart, lol, he really is.
    • Continues to play Daishen Nix
    • Insists on playing all his players rather than setting on a ****ing 9 man (at most 10) rotation.
    • Continues to jank both KPJ and Green out of the game at the end of 1st and 3rd quarter. As bad as they are together, he really needs to try to mix in TyTy with both of them that way we get less KPJ PG and instead we get him in position to score.
    • Jabari is the future, take KPJs shots away and give them to him.
    • Stop playing Bruno or Garuba. Play one or the other but not both doofus.
    • Double the hot player coach, stop allowing every ****ing guard to torch us because of our weak perimeter defense.
Stone on the other hand needs to also be blamed for tearing us apart:
    • Cut Nix you idiot.
    • Trade EG the **** away.
    • Get us an actual 3/D player.
    • Cut Gary and get is some more consistent shooters in this team.
    • Fire Silas.
This team has some talent but man it doesn't fully complement each other and since coach can't figure out how to best make use of it Stone should be looking for a way to resolve it. Fire Stone as well.

So it's Silas's fault when he doesn't play in the 4th quarter, when he does play & misses layups while repeatedly giving up baskets, it's still Silas's fault. Correct?

Sengun missed 2 CRUCIAL layups and was targeted on defense over & over. Last game before that he committed 2 low IQ turnovers against the zone which ultimately put us away. Who's fault is this?

Let me ask your opinion on this…. My problem with Sengun getting attacked constantly is that this is a problem he won’t be able to fix. He’s not quick, he’s not explosive, and he lacks length. That’s why he’s not our future 5, am I right @rocketchamp

Yes we can't fix it. If Sengun wants more minutes he'll need 2 slim down 10-15 pounds and improve his conditioning. He'll also need to work on his 3 in which I don't think he'll ever improve

I completely agree! He’s just too hard to build around if we wanna be successful. If we draft Wemby, that’ll be the beginning of the end for Sengun. You gotta think, we’re gonna get a FA eventually, KPJ already getting paid, Jalen gonna sign a max, Jabari will paid, and Wemby will down the road if we draft him. I’m sry, but Sengun would get traded or we’d let him walk

I hesitate to comment but the two late-game missed bunnies could be a sign of the conditioning issue. Not saying that's what happened and not trying to make excuses for him, but I suspect that may be the main reason he's still at the 26 mpg mark rather than 30-35+

I'm inclined to believe this is the case also tbh. As much as I dislike Silas, I don't think he's just deliberately holding back Sengun's minutes the way all the SOF's seem to think for no reason. Like many Euro players before him, Sengun is below average on the athleticism front - this includes endurance as much as explosiveness and speed/strength. It's one of the 2 big areas he'd need to improve on to become the "perennial all-star and MVP candidate" his fans think he'll be (well, a lot of the Turkish ones think he already is but they've only been watching ball for a few years so I'll forgive them.) He only really even needs to be an average defensive player, but to be considered a top tier player he NEEDS better fitness and he needs to learn to shoot consistently with more than 15ft range. He doesn't even really need a 3 ball in all honesty, I'll settle for an old school mid-range pick and pop game, but he needs to be seen as a threat in more places than the low post. Unless he does that he won't be any kind of star.

He got too cold because of not entering the game earlier. That’s the reason why he missed easy shots. His well deserved minutes were given to Bruno…

how many more poster dunks do you want to see from him? Probably you are blind that you will always label him as “below average athlete”

Watch the games with your eyes sometimes,

    thanks

Always the same bullshit excuses to keep him rotten at the bench…im starting to think that some of these posters are related to Silas.

    Paid actors?

Was that seriously your comeback? He's 6'11 ffs, that's not impressive the way he's dunking at all. He also needs a big running jump to do it, in the NBA that is below average athleticism. If you'd watched the NBA for more than 2 years you'd probably understand, go look at videos of a young Dwight Howard to see what somebody Sengun's size WITH athleticism actually looks like.

Have they not traveled throughout the land so their hearts may reason, and their ears may listen? Indeed, it is not the eyes that are blind, but it is the hearts in the chests that grow blind.

    Fainnahā lā ta‘mal-absāru walakin ta‘māl-qulūbul-latī fis-sudūr
Surely it is not the eyes that are blind, but blind are the hearts that are in the chests.
