top 3 pick WON MVP only 3 times in last ten years...

ALSO there is a confirmation bias in the top picks being allstars mvp and champions that is done by backward rationalization......

you see false belief in top picks naturally produced more top picks to prosper because they were given more chance and new chances, playing time time and again and again and again...
while lesser picks were discarded as soon as showing first signs of being busts....

drafting order has nothing to do with who is more talented and who has better genes...especially in todays flat world where every kid has resources and basketball is just a few clicks away from them...

40 years ago it was perhaps a different world where only america was a the talent pool... today the entire world is the talent pool and pick no 50 is as talented as pick no 5...its just a matter of players getting the chance to prove themselves , trust and playing time from organization...

thats why yanis and jokic emerged...because they were allowed and entrusted with the role...and thats why sengun will emerge if allowed PT and ALPHA role...hes already proved, even while being held back, hes better than any pick in his class
