no incentive to win in nba... they just nepotist...sengun could have carried all these incompetent frauds like silas, kpj, stone, let alone jalen and jabari, if they just did the most simple thing in the world...the irony is they could all be 3 times better versions of themselves and get much better recognition and the money...
Realistic view of Alpi Sengun. Postitives 1. He has a super high BBall IQ on the post - knows exactly what to do with the ball and how to gain an advantage as both a passer and a scorer. 2. He is a plus rebounder and does a great job of keeping his arms up to generate great rebounding opportunities either on a tip or simply grabbing them himself. 3. He is an excellent shooter inside 4 feet. 4. Very likeable guy, who hustles on the court. 5. Excellent PnR player from the wing side of the lane. The Needs work area: 1. He does not know what to do away from the low block - frequently rolls incorrectly in the wrong channel from the top in a PnR situation. Doesn't give a chance for a pocket pass from the top because he is crowding the lane if he swung lust a bit more out instead of straight line it would clear up. 2. He is clueless against a zone, he should be popping out to the FT line in the middle to become the wheel against a 2-3 zone instead he stays down in the lane where he is comfortable. 3. He is not a good anticipation defender, and reaches far too much for cheap fouls. 4. He is slow footed, making him an easy mark if he switches. 5. He is a bad shooter outside of 15 feet really needs to develop a FT line extended jumper and a 3pt shot or else he will always be a marginal NBA center. OVERALL - ALPI is a good developing player, but he has a long way to go, IMHO. DD
Excellent shooter inside 4 ft? I would hope so! Lol.. Them lil goofy angled shots he takes haven't been fallin as much lately tho..
In all honesty, my problem with Sengun is that he’s a player you have to build around. You have put defenders out there to cover for his weaknesses, the offense has to run through him, so you gotta surround him with shooter and cutters. We could have a team with Wemby, Jalen, KPJ, and Jabari next season.. or we could have 2 scoots. So are we gonna just make all of those guys spot up shooters and cutters to make Sengun happy? I’m sry, but **** that!
lol prolly still better than shooting 40% from 3 btw i remmebr tim duncan missing a bunny in game 6 or 7 of the finals costing them a championship would have liked to take a look on duncan playing uder silas, playing 6 minutes a night, serving as a floor spacer for danuel house to attack...
Some of it is he sags too much on pick and rolls, but even when he's not in the game KPJ leaves dudes wide open for threes. Watch the first quarter against golden state again. Klay had like 30 in first quarter. KPJ would rather celebrate a made basket than get back on defense.
Spoken like a tru poster on the dumb list. The offense does not have to run through him, folks right now wantS it bc kpj is too incompetent to run it himself. Sengun had the superior court vision and passing ability. Under kpj iso offense basically everybody is a spot up shooter watching kpj iso his way into a turnover. Cutters are needed regardless, what a stupid comment. Folks need to fking move around rather then camp out at the 3 pt line regardless. Teamball requires folks to move around to breakdown the opposing defense. U Really have the dumb@$$ notion that the team has to b built around sengun to succeed. In the European league its has always been more about the team system than a star player. Sengun knows how to play within a team system if implemented. Can't fathom how much stupidity one can squeeze in a single post. Not surprised your hatred for sengun makes u stupider
Great court vision but still miss wide open shooters a lot, okay. You’re an SOFs, therefore I expect this kind of response. The offense has to run to Sengun bc that’s his game and when he’s at his best. Y’all are gonna be so so sad when he’s not on the team in the next year or 2. You can take that to the bank and cash it!
There’s a couple of scenarios where he could still be here. 1. He’s on the bench and plays 15-20 min a game (he wouldn’t be okay with that) 2. We’re still one of the bottom 3 teams I’m assuming that we’ll be one of the up and coming teams in a couple of year, which is not happening if he’s the starting 5
So you do or don't want to bet? You said take it to the bank and cash it, so I'm giving you that opportunity, if you believe it.
A high IQ player from Europe is clueless about zone is impossible. An even that was the case, how hard is it for silas to tell him to pop out to the free line. You put all the stupid things KPJ does on Silas, because that is what KPJ is told to do and you think that Sengun is clueless about how to attack to the zone d because he did not pop out to the ft line, nice! Except he doesn't. How many fouls does he take by reaching per game? How many per game would be 'far too much'? It used to be a problem but not anymore. Another Silas issue. He worked on it during the summer, he was taking shots during euros. And at the beginning of the season he was taking 3s. Now obviously he is not allowed to take shots, in a DEVELOPMENTAL year, where winning is not important, we are losing anyway and we are losing without developing players. Fire Silas, get a pg, move kpj to offball role, play Tyty. That's the only way to go.
Too much stupidity. Any post player would need the ball in his hands once in a while so he can work his magic. We aren't even running the offense through him right now and he still scoring efficiently. Sengun has better court vision and better passing ability than kpj. U can make false statement like "sengun still miss wide open shooters" doesn't change the fact that he's a better at distributing the ball then kpj.
Clutch just reiterated the view "from the front office" that Sengun doesn't work as hard and needs more coaching. That's the third time that I know of that he's made these points about Alpi
It's hard for anybody to stay motivated when they see kpj do the stupidest sht without repercussion and nix being one of the laziest player to grace the court. i don't blame folks, even eric gordon has given up.
I’m not even talking about KPJ rn. You’re entitled to your own opinion. I believe needs more than the occasional post up to maximize his skills
That's weird and obviously there is some problem out there. both the coach and front office speak to the media negatively about a rookie, who seems to be doing quite well. It is impossible to know what the problem is but I won't take the front office view for a fact since it contradicts everything i see on the court. I am assuming they should be open to trade him because it is very weird for both the fo and coach to make negative remarks about a rookie, who seemingly does not have any obvious issues.
