If I wanted to know what a senator makes it's public information. That's my point. People make a big deal that Trump didn't provide his returns but everyone who runs is a public official. I don't care that Trump wants to keep his finances private. I don't care if people don't vote for him because he doesn't make the information but he shouldn't be compelled to. It's only a "tradition" since Nixon
You still didn't answer my question? I didn't say Trump... I asked would you feel if this was Obama instead of Trump? T_Man
All Presidents make taxes transparent. Trump said for years he would release them. Flat out lying is wrong in my book.
I take all Trump subjects individually. I have never liked him. He is a jerk. I never believed he colluded with Russia. That was a stupid allegation. Dude is literally the original reality star from his tabloid days in the National Inquirer. Now because we don't like him winning he is a Russian spy? I don't support his politics. I defend on this because I don't think someone has to give their tax returns because they are running for public office but the stupidity of the issue is that all presidential candidates are government officials. We already know their salaries. I am surprised he tried to hold up the transition of power. I didn't think he would be that bold. H
pg, your entitled to your opinion, but from my perspective I do care that he lied about being in an audit and without this release we would not have known the full extent of IRS shenanigans, it goes to the bigger question(s) is why did trump lie that he was being audited when in fact he wasnt until the House Ways and Means asked for his returns, trump lied to the American public before the request so did trump have a "deal with the head of the IRS", he did pay his taxes for what he reported, the question is how did he pay so little and what's behind all the losses. The report is showing so many irregularities that is screams it needs to investigated and that's why the dems spend years trying to get them...........if he had nothing to hide he would have given them up when he took office like he promised...............just like when he said if your not guilty you dont plead the 5th and then most of his inner staff did just that. "With the release of Trump's tax returns we learned, among other things, that Steve Mnuchin was running the IRS like a corrupt arm of Donald Trump's criminal enterprise," Kirschner tweeted. "How...long do the American people have to suffer the indignity of rampant corruption in government with no accountability for those who plainly violate their oath of office & betray the public trust?" he lied that his tax returns were under audit every year ur confused; what else is new. it is too bad that you don't understand that this is about IRS not following its long-standing policy of audomatically auditing the POTUS' tax return every year. for the education of the willful ignorant, during the 4 yrs of the Trump, presidency, the IRS complied w its long-standing policy of automatically audited the VP's tax return. bur it didnot accord the same treatment to Trump. evidence points to POTUS Trump weaponizing the IRS to go after his political foes; According to John Kelly, Trump's longest serving COS, Trump wanted the IRS to investigate former FBI Director James Comey and his deputy. and they were audited in the same vein, he ordered his appointed IRS commissioner not to audit Trump's return, while VP Pence's were automatically audited every year hog wash, Rettig was appointed by Trump. vouminous tax data doesn't translate to complicated return. all IRS had to do to to assign more than one auditor to do the audit. from you link, "The congressional report recommends that the IRS assign two senior agents, as well as specialists on partnerships, foreign transactions and financial products, to ensure all presidential audits are complete and timely. This is a no-brainer."
