We know KPJ ain't it (at least as a point). Green is wildly inconsistent and looks more like a Monta Ellis than a Kobe. Jabari Smith looks like turning into a rich man's Ariza. Sengun is promising but we don't play him enough. All our other young guys are role players at best. We need to pray for a top 2 draft pick or next season is going to suck when we don't have our pick.
nah the hawks essentially traded luka for trae and assets so its not out of the question. Anything is possible!
People playing with heart VS losers who are in it for themselves. The different between the two is as big as the Grand Canyon
By getting you a top 5 pick and … Wemby, Henderson, Whitmore or one of the Thompson twins. Then you say kind things about Silas and replace him with an NBA head coach and not a life coach. Once that happens, Porter won’t last a year.
Stone would fight it tooth and nail, but TF should bring in Donnie Nelson as Team President. Let him handle the draft.
Point taken about rebuilds taking time and people being impatient but you really don’t think any of the choices here are good ideas?
Silas is a good coach. Just needs better players. It’s on Stone to build the roster. Y’all will see next year.
The notion that teams with basically the same record as the Rockets “play better” is pretty funny. I guarantee you Orlando fans have just as many frustrations if not more than we do. Losing always feels bad. Losing means the ball isn’t going in the basket in the end. That always stinks to watch regardless of how your coaching players to make back cuts, set picks, and rotate. In the end the Rockets probably just need better players. Please try to keep from convincing yourself that the guy on the bench is a secret superstar and there is a grand conspiracy that’s keeping him down. However yes I think the guys we spent 1st round picks on should be getting the bulk of the minutes so we can actually see what we have with them. Playing EG, and Nix so many minutes makes no sense when obviously neither player is impacting winning. So yeah the only change that needs to happen right this second is trading or waiving EG and Stone having a meeting with Silas to tell him that he needs to wake up and align his goals with the long term goals of the organization. There’s nothing that’s working so well that it must continue. Change it up and realize that your bosses made a huge investment in certain players and maybe they actually care about whether or not those investments were correct instead of just taking your word for it.
The season is about getting the #1 pick this draft in 2023! I see what the Spurs are doing… They want to hop onto the next Tim Duncan train, and now they are diving head first to get that coveted intriguing Victor Wembanyama. Everyone says he’s the real deal. So why fire Silas at this point! He gets you the best chance of getting the number 1 pick and there is no tanking involved to mess up the psychology of the players. You just hope the Rockets get that #1 pick and that Green and Smith aren’t permanently ruined by Silas style. And I like Stephen Silas, the guy seems genuinely very nice. The guy knows basketball, I just don’t think he knows how to coach this team. I can see Silas being on a TV. I like hearing his interviews. I hate that I don’t want him as the Rockets coach after he does the best to get the Rockets the #1 pick.
That is the question if he had a championship team, would he muck it up in the playoffs with dumb rotations.....
they do nothing to significantly change anything at this stage of the full rebuild. This is literally what the process is and none of those choices listed actually matter or make a difference
