Am I the only one that thinks Craig Ackerman is super annoying?

I really like Craig but Hollins is mid, he's better than Clyde at least

 

I love Ackerman.

Agreed, don't get the hate, he's considerably improved from his first game as a TV announcer and love the enthusiasm. It's Hollins who tries to match that and outdo it that annoys me to death. "It's not A NICKEL, NOT A PENNY, THAT'S A DIME BABY!!!"

 

Ackerman has enthusiasm, is a legit Rockets historian, loves Houston and all its teams, and his knowledge of and respect for opponents is better than probably 80% of the commentators in the NBA.

His voice is annoying as hell.

He won me over years ago with his line:
"He's not a cookie-- he's not a cracker--he's Von Wafer!"

Hollins....im luke warm on. Its going to take some time. Im used to having announcers with deep ties to the city. Hollins can get there if he sticks around.

 

Craig is great. Hollins has improved quite a bit from his rough start last year and gained some chemistry with Craig.

Of all the problems the Rockets have, the broadcast crew is probably the least of my worries.

Also flame me if you want for this but I find Vanessa cute.

 

Craig is fine, he just can't also carry the deadweight next to him. We need a better color commentator. I would love it if we brought back Calvin Murphy.

Toss them with the rest of the garbage at seasons end. All of it.

Go ahead and get a new coaching staff why you're at it. Only coach I'd keep around is abdelfattah. He at least deserves an assistant position for now.

 

Terribly nice and decent human being, like Stephen Silas. But 100% a company man, and there are quite a few of those going around these days.

Bill W was on a different level and I’m sure Craig would agree. Dude could call a better game at 115 years old on a fistful of LSD.

Let’s have some fun here tight ass, know what I’m saying? I mean Jesus Christ… We get it, it won’t count and poor Zachy is hurt. Our team ain’t winning ****. And the score for us really doesn’t matter much. Enjoy and celebrate a great play.

 

Interesting. I didn’t find his reaction here inappropriate. He showed plenty of excitement but acknowledged it was called off and Collins was hurt. Isn’t the color commentary guy supposed to be the hype guy? Isn’t the play by play guy supposed to be more monotone or composed?

 

Inappropriate, not at all.

Weak call? Hell yeah.

 

My advice don't listen to them at all and instead use playback rockets rooms and listen to Dave and roosh.. they are 1000x better ,funny, smart and real. I keep the volume of them at 10 and still have the rockets feed at 6. So I can listen to both stream audio feeds simultaneously but I have Dave and roosh drown out Hollins and Craig for the most part.

 

I Think craig is good. hollins is the one going nutz. hollins whines too much

 

The new sideline reporter has the charisma of soggy cardboard.

 

For the record, by inappropriate I just meant that it didn’t seem like an odd tone given the situation. He showed excitement but brought it back to reality. I prefer that over Ryan going nuts for 3 minutes like he’s never seen a dunk before.
