Woke just seems like a broad brush to paint people with who you don't agree with, like the phrase "defund the police".....If someone is enlightened on their journey in life and they have more empathy for other people's problems and issues what's so wrong with that. Can someone take it to an extreme and be obnoxious, for sure, that's just life and were not all cookie cutter stepford wives. Why some people have to throw out the word "woke" on some silly things is beyond me, it's almost like a bad word and can be used when the other side doesn't like what another person is doing.
In Sydney I met this woman and we were talking about Climate Change. I said I believe it's happening and then made an off the cuff remark "I'm a Woke American". She said, "You're not Woke.. You're a Sane American..."
I think the right is overreaching with the whole wokeness thing. At first they had sympathy because yeah, there are some self-righteous liberals who are really really annoying and go overboard on things. But then they go overboard themselves and start trying to paint wokeness as the biggest threat to western civilization since Hitler and that mainstream movements that a large portion of the country are concerned about as "wokeness." That's where they lose normal people.
I'm not here to insult anyone's family, especially their wife. And I'm definitely not here to insult @DaDakota, a clutchfans legend!
