I assume the intention for posting this is to rag on Bruno. But, I don't see him as the only one at fault on this play. It looks like the play completely fell apart because Nix's fat butt was casually walking around so he couldn't get free. Looks like the team got tired of waiting for Nix to get free and decided for Bruno to just do a hand off to one of the guards.
Seriously what do they do in practice? I would love to see a full session of practice managed by Silas. That is probably one of the most interesting and exciting thing to watch from this team. Hope Silas will share his secrets of mediocrity soon. thanks
Rockets FO does not help to players, forcing them to be they aren't. CWood, KPJ and Bruno all fell that trap. Wood and KPJ already hate figures, hope Bruno won't. Beginning of the season they pumped the idea Bruno, the recent two-way contract man was a starting material. I cried here a lot describing the move as "a distraction" and Bruno becoming "Red Herring". The problems in this teams are: -A real head-coach -A real PG -Perimeter defense -Assisting -Back-up PF Bruno would be happy role player, would scoop $10M for next four year. Instead they poisoned him, another disappointed player.

I think you guys are being too hard on Silas, at least for this particular play. It's not his fault that Nix didn't really react throughout this one play. Agreed. Nix's indecision to either come get the ball (or not) forced Bruno's indecision to keep the ball or go into a DHO. I think Nix was originally supposed to 1) come off a Gordon switch and 2) come to the top of the arc to receive Bari's pass. But when 1 didn't happen and 2 started to happen, Bruno turned around and thought he'd be the one to give it to Nix instead, to make things easier. Nix then went back into the block to provide spacing to Bruno/Gordon; a miscommunication by Gordon and Nix resulted in Gordon abandoning that part of the floor only to get forced outside, Bruno decided to hop-step because he picked up his dribble, and Nix came too late to the ball. This play is about 90% Nix's fault and 10% Bruno's. Nix waited too long at the start of the play, Bruno didn't wait long enough at the end of the play. After picking up his dribble, Bruno should have just waited for Nix to come to him, but he was too antsy.
Not just Bruno, just the whole cluster**** of how Silas is (not) coaching this team, playing Bruno all the time 10+ minutes instead of giving Sengun those minutes, playing Nix, etc. etc. Just a symbolic sequence for how mismanaged the team is.
I mean, if you're just putting this one play in a vacuum, I don't get how this one play is Silas' fault. If the players don't know what play is being run, it's the coach's fault, for sure. But it seemed like a play was drawn up / called out, and the players didn't execute.
for a team with so much raw talent they look so lost at times. Ughhh. I was hoping for more progress than I'm seeing. I haven't been critical of Silas but I'm growing in that direction.
They may have been in a rut but it's looking more like they're stuck in the ditch. I have a ticket from the sports book for Over 23 wins for the season. They better get unstuck and start winning some of these games they should be winning. Spurs at home should be a win not an embarrassment.
