You say it like there's a tough decision. We aren't picking KPJ, but moving on from Green.

Harden averaged 29/11/8 that year, led the Rox to the third best record and finished 2nd in MVP voting (won the next year) in a tight race with Westbrook.

Currently KPJ with 15.4 shots a game is averaging 18.6/5.6/5.6 and 4TO with a 52.7 TS% while "leading" the 3rd worst team in the league.

I think you are 80% right, but in asset trading if one is way more valuable in return but relatively close in production and cheaper, it can have an effect on whom you trade.

I get that, Harden was a more efficient scorer, but his ability to game the system with his FTs was a big help.

Not apples to apples anymore, especially considering whom they both played with.....Harden had veterans...KPJ not so much.

This is true. Harden was not forced into a role he's not built for. Apparently, they have put KPJ in a no win situation. Not his fault. Correcting this decision's gonna be tricky. Not sure he takes it well. That's on them.

Putting up Wilt and MJ level offensive production on winning teams may be allowing certain posters to give him a "free pass" here?

Hopefully one day KPJ will be able to improve his pathetic 52.7 TS% all the way up to match Jalen Green's phenomenal 52.9 TS%.

That is why I am hopeful that the draft or trades can correct it.

If we pick up Amen Thompson he is a 6'8" point forward....and now you have KPJ and Green both playing off the ball......

    Wallah, problem solved.

Oh, I agree, Sam I am just trying to get some perspective into people, if you put Harden with this team of 20 something inconsistents...he would be way better, but still frustrating, I believe.

Sure, if a top 15 player that we believe we could trade for and build around becomes available we would entertain the idea of trading Green.

KPJ on the otherhand would be a throw in (ex: Collin Sexton to Utah). Either that or he adopts a new role on our team.

To me, that's not really "picking between the two".

KPJ? Not likely but it's possible that he will be efficient.

JG? Likely but it's possible he will not be efficient

At this point, neither has shown to be a good on ball defender. Two 6'5 (in shoes) below average defenders in the back court is not ideal. Especially when Tari's here.

If you miss out on Wemby at 1, if available you take Scoot and move KPJ to 6th man with Tari at 3. Not sure how that goes, but it would be ideal. If you drop below 2, can Amen play the point? He's got a long way to go as a shooter, but by all accounts, is def skilled. Just not hyped about "experiments" anytime soon. There's several intriguing prospects, but still hope we land in the top 2. Regardless, KPJ it appears, is going to have to have a different role. At least on this team.

I believe if the Warriors use Draymond Green as their Point Forward, we should use Sengun as our Point Center. He has the IQ, elite passer and unselfish as a player.

His 2.1 assists to 2.2 turnovers per game show exactly this.

Silas needs to put the ball more in his hands and he would have more assists and less turnovers

Ah yes when someone has more turnovers than assists it means they need the ball more.

Maybe he could have 8 assists and 9 turnovers if it wasn't for Silas.

Exactly. Harden probably would have put up 40+ a game with this type roster. Would've been insane.

Here is the math that matters, and the only math that matters.

You outscore the other team by at least 1, the rest is just bullshit made up crap for people to argue about.

Jalen Green is learning bad habits. ISO, taking contested jump shots, driving into defenders for a tough layup. When the supposed “leader” and partner in crime does that consistently, you tend to follow suit. We need to have a good veteran to show him the right way to play the game. And a new coach.
