KPJ: Can someone explain to me why he has become Clutchfans favorite whipping boy?

Ignore those who say he's a good player. They probably also believe that the earth is flat.

 

KPJ is good when he plays within his limits. The problem is that Silas and perhaps Lucas are trying to push him to exceed his limits and KPJ is not an anime protagonist.

From now on, i decided to share KPJ's defensive masterclasses from each game the Rockets play. I don't really care if anyone's got a problem with that since it's really amusing for me to watch KPJ not playing defense and i'm sure i'm not the only one.

 

What exactly are you spitting? It's one thing when the eye test is failed. It's another when the stats completely back up the failure.

What's "toxic and dumb" is pushing ish that don't float. Atleast back it up with something. 29th in efficiency among PG's is a real thing. 51 assists to 44 turnovers in the last 10 is certainly a real thing.

The reason that the same simpletons whine so much about KPJ is that they are trying to deflect blame from other players who are playing horribly....KPJ is the whipping boy.



Jalen Green and Jabari Smith are the 2 worst performing players on the team....but the focus is ALWAYS on KPJ. It's absolutely narrative driven toxic BS.

That's not to say there isn't plenty of legitimate criticism of KPJ, but the same simpletons who want to run him off the team for being the 4th worst performing player, get on their knees any time Jalen or Jabari do ANYTHING even halfway decent while completely ignoring the fact that they are the 2 worst performing players on the team.

If Jalen wasn't so terrible defensively, and Jabari wasn't so terrible offensively, it would go a long way to boosting the entire rest of the team....but you're going to just blame KPJ, because of course you will.

Like I said before, there's almost no intelligent conversation to be had in the GARM these days, it's why I've mostly stayed away. There's very little worth engaging with, basically a fanbase full of Lin fans throwing feces at one another to push false narratives in an attempt to boost up their pet players.

 

You can do a poor defense montage with just about every NBA player

I always respond, "does anyone really play defense in the NBA?"

Seems like it's an All Star game matador defense until the 4th quarter
nowadays, for the most part.

 

If KPJ's and Jabari's performances were reversed, and somebody put in the above argument you have, you would write a page on how we should look at the last 5 games, how at the beginning of the season Jabari had natural struggles as a rookie, how it takes time to get accustommed to the nba, and how we should ignore the previous performance.

You would say that a true rockets fan would not do that. And you would be right Rockets fan my a*s. Just trolling all day long!

 

If their performances were reverse, then KPJ would be the worst performing player on the team, so the whining would be justified rather than just an attempt to push false narratives.

Claims KPJ is one of best players on team.
Uses a particular stat to “prove” Green and Smith are two worst performing players on team.
Same particular stat says KPJ is 4th worst performing player on team.

 

I just didn't want to include all the possesions he got smoked by screens, gambling for steals and rebounds and the possesions he wasn't in the frame. But if you really want to see more of KPJ not playing defense footage, i'll include those in the next episode.

 

Do us a favor and stay away longer, or better yet forever.
