    Stats that fit narratives?

    Stats are stats no?

You talk about "the org" like you know the in's and out's. Your sure everyone is all in and fine with the progress, but let me ask you a question. I was thinking when Dream was courtside the other day what goes through his mind. Honestly, what do you think he sees when watching this group? Think he's fine with the progress? Think he was ok not feeding the big man? The best defensive player. The best shooter. Especially when he was draining em... yeah I'm sure he agrees with you.

this is the type of nonsense that’s typically gotta be used in order to hype up KPJ and try and make him look good

KPJ just needs longer than we thought to figure out the PG position and that's fine. It's probably best we recalibrate our expectations to see how he's doing by the end of the season. Really his contract is so favorable to us that we basically have this season and the next at a total of roughly $18m to develop him into a starting NBA player. We have plenty of time and no other highly competent PG's on the roster.

I really think we should move KPJ to the SF position, bench Gordon and get someone else to play PG. I think we'd see KPJ flourish playing more in Gordon's role (more 3&D). There's no reason he can't take on some point-forward duties to keep working on running the offense while also serving as backup PG. We don't really need the passing from him as much as we need more defense and off ball shooting. I feel like in that role we'd get more well rounded production out of him.

Plus, we'd have signed (or acquired) a PG who would be good at distributing the ball and keep it moving while ensuring that we stick to the hot hand at any given time. It's not really about winning right now so I'd love to see us sign even a late career vet like Augustin maybe. Just someone to play 15-20 minutes would be great to help the kids develop.

The same "org" that has accomplished what exactly? I'm talking about the Tilman Fertitta Rockets, nothing has really worked out for his "org" so I'm not sure why you use this reason to think KPJ will work as PG.

I just want to move on to TyTy at this point and see what we have in him. Will definitely start out ugly, but I wouldn't be surprised to see big improvements by ASB.

I'm just afraid of our defense tanking with KPJ at a SF position. He's going to have to guard some hefty boys at that position.

I think that's a better compromise, to play a little undersized is not a big deal right now. More importantly he's going to have more of a quickness edge on his opponent plus get more catch and shoot opportunities. As long as the defensive effort is there I'm happy.

Sorry guys KPJ is our starting Combo/PG, they are trying to get it comfortable and become a quality duo.

Good news though TyTy looked great at backup PG, and we can really use that......

If they decide to move on from KPJ - I am ok with that, but the level of hatred and bullshit scrutiny he gets here over every little thing is mind numbing, other players are doing nearly the same thing and nary a peep.

Either way, KPJ is filling up the stat sheet with Pts, rebounds, assists, and yes turnovers......lol - maybe soon it will be wins too.

Remember when we had the best back court in the league; one of the best ever actually:
    CP3
    Harden
    EG

there was plenty of minutes for all 3. Sometimes we went small and had them on the court at the same time; sometimes not.

KPJ can be a better EG, but he’s not Harden, he’s not Luca, he’s not Morant, and he’s certainly not CP3. I look forward to a future with KPJ, but off the ball.

let’s keep playing TyTy and see what we have.

The DD gif has been used to death and is annoying at this point.

But at the conclusion of this post it is completely warranted.

I've never been one to delve into statistics (partly because I trust what I see with my eyes, plus I wouldn't know where to find them) but it's hilarious seeing such an epic beatdown on DD. The stats VS his fantasy land is always humerous (albeit in an embarrassing way for DD)

idk how you can watch that 4th quarter and be happy with his play. just boneheaded play after boneheaded play. I genuinely cannot stand watching him play and ignore every open shooter. he will refuse to pass in almost EVERY scenario where it does not lead him to a direct assist.

2 seasons ago I was a fan when we had no one else. last year was frustrating but you saw flashes. this year the franchise has made him the face and it has gotten to his head.

KPJ was instrumental in the 3rd Q in coming back from 14 down to begin with. He had a good 4th Q too, but it was marred by two late turnovers and a missed jumpshot. The last play of the game looked like it was supposed to be for EG and it broke down and everyone had to improvise. Ball just didnt go down its not the end of the world.

LOL, people do this all the time with Green and Smith and nobody has a problem, but heaven forbid somebody does it with KPJ.

Does he owe you all money or did he take your girl, it's amazing how he makes you all feel some kinda way.

Other players are 1st and 2nd years and expected to struggle, not a 4th year vet who has show marginal improvement. Take Green for example, he's only started trying to learn how to playmake this season. If he is still committing the same boneheaded mistakes KPJ does a year later, then you would see the same critique. From a scoring standpoint, Green has already left KPJ in the dust.

I love our back court! I dont want a damn thing to change because I know they are young and with natural progression, they will get better....that's just basketball 101.

Just to show you the level of hate, BITH Jalen and KPJ had turnovers at crucial moments last night but KPJ catches all the flak....strange or just HATE?

Basketball 101? Some folks peaked in their rookie season. Fact.

Rockets legend MCW for example. Imagine we insisted playing MCW at PG hoping “natural progression” would make him a better player.

You seem like you're knowledgeable about the NBA. So let me ask you this, you dont think KPJ is better than MCW?
