@DaDakota I can post them now on the one year ban bet. Make it reasonable though before midnight. I have two children.

I am not doubting that he thinks of himself as some kind of leader, and that he talks a lot.

I am sure that we will not become a winning team or organization with him in that kind of role, though.

It's actually quite concerning that he seems to think he is qualified to act like that.

Jabari is a better "leader" already, and he is a super young rookie. Eason is a better leader, his hustle is exemplary. Tate would probably be a better leader. And Sengun will be a leader - his natural talent and basketball IQ are much higher than KPJ's.

There is a lack of leadership from top to bottom, coaches, organization in general, vets(non-existent). In that vacuum, some weird things are bound to happen. I think it is impossible for us to understand what KPJ thinks. He might be thinking that is what is expected from him. After all Silas invests irrationally on his playmaking skills, everybody knows something is wrong and KPJ might be feeling pressure to act as a leader. Or as you said he might be thinking he is the leader of the team.

Spinning a whole lotta ish apparently. This is what we're happy about. Jabari Smith Jr. The evolution of this kid right before our eyes. He's been, by far the best shooter/defender on the team in the last 10 games and one of the biggest reasons why we're 6-4 in that span. Goes out and holds the freak to his lowest total in how long??? C'mon man!

You can keep mentioning his season avg's.

I'm just gonna leave this here.

    KPJ's last 10 GM's

    40 FG%
    29.5 3PT%
    83.7 FT%
    51.9 TS%

    Green's last 10 GM'S

    42.7 FG%
    28.4 3PT%
    80.6 FT%
    53.9 TS%

    Jabari's last 10 GM's

    46.9 FG%
    48.2 3PT%
    84 FT%
    64.2 TS%

I mean comparing shooting percentages of two players who create 60+% of their own shots to a guy who gets fed most of shots isn't really fair.

I am actually more concerned that he is empowered to make on-court decisions that is clearly detrimental to the chances of the Rockets winning basketball games.

When the Rockets were up 15 last night in the middle of the 3rd quarter, KPJ decided to take the technical free throw (which he missed) when at least two clearly superior free throw shooters (Green and Smith) were on the court. Games are frequently won or lost by a single point, just because the Rockets were up 15, doesn't mean any player should suddenly start playing for their own numbers on the court.

This isn't the first time it has happened, and it is in my opinion one of the biggest red flags for KPJ and the coaching staff. No team that is trying to compete would let this happen.

Yeah, that technical FT thing was weird. I've always thought that it's the coach's decision who take the technical. And KPJ is actually one of the worse FT shooters among all rotation players.

Totally agree, the fact that he thinks he should shoot the technical free throws, and the fact that this repeatedly goes unchecked by the coaching staff, is absolutely representative of both KPJ's lack of self-awareness and a complete lack of leadership by the coaching staff.

Same for him waving off Sengun.

Same for him making the same types of boneheaded mistakes and inefficient plays over and over and over again.

This guy really thinks he is "the man", and the coaching staff enables this delusional and erratic behaviour.

No bet, you can post them just like I did....if you don't want to, fine by me......some folks want to remain anonymous so they can pretend I get it.

Either you post it or you don't and I just won't believe you - I doubt you care that much.....so whatever.

It goes up and down that is why you have 3 catalysts so that if one or two struggle and one is hot you can still win.

KPJ, Jalen and Jabari are the big 3 with Sengun pushing to make it four.

I hear ya. Was mainly responding to jiggy's take on why should we be happy with a 4-5 shooting performance and 38% on the season. He's definitely turned a corner. Hopefully they start getting him involved tonight. No way in hell should he have only gotten 5 shots vs Suns. Can't count how many times he was wide open. Crazy.

For some reason jiggy thinks that's on Bari. Only 4-5... If they'd passed it to him more no telling what he'd ended up with. KPJ and Green need to make those passes.

    My 2.

I don't care if Jabari gets 2 shots or 20 shots if the team wins......sometimes the other team adjusts and shuts him down, same for others.

In team sports it is good to have other options, glad we do and Jabari is finally a good one.

    LOL.

    http://www.espn.com/nba/hollinger/statistics/_/sort/VORPe

Only Sengun (top 10) and Eason (top 30) show up as a net positive in "Estimated Wins Added".

Our top four are Sengun, Green, Jabari, Eason.

KPJ is not in that list.

You are joking right? Our team is 20-22 years old we are still learning....that list is stupid when compared to our age.

Just give it time we are 6-4 in our last 10, let's just enjoy the team improvement.

    GO ROCKETS!

Sengun, Eason, Green, Jabari are all younger than KPJ.

    And smarter.

    And better.

    And more efficient.

Indeed this young squad needs each other and no one player can carry a team

And KPJ should be the so called floor leader since it was his own words proclaiming that he is the point guard of the Rockets, he didn't say combo guard, he stressed being the PG, which is by default the said floor general/team leader for all teams similar to the QB position having that role

Best thing is to practice and perform what you preach to be, which his job is to get others going and if they are not making it happen then that is when he should take it upon himself and make it happen being the floor leader

That's fine, and he did indeed say that, but the Rockets are basically giving him and Jalen green lights.....they are both scoring the ball and creating.

If they want KPJ to focus on being a more pure facilitator they should demand it of him and bench him when he losses that focus....but they aren't......and I think that creates the frustration.

I am fine with how he is developing he is assisting ok, and those will go up as his teamates get more efficient but his turnovers are still too much 3.9pg is a bit much would like that below 3 if possible.

Has nothing to do with pretending. It has everything to do with you saying that I was being dishonest so I offered a wager which you won't accept. That's fine. I guess I got trolled a little bit so kudos to you on getting me there I guess. You are correct on me not caring whatsoever.
