Somehow because Josh Allen was successful and some scouts seem to think Levis is similar to Allen, Levis=Allen. LOL. Good luck with that.
Josh Allen was comp'd to Cam Newton when coming out. How has that eval held up? Go read some of the draft bios of Allen and then read the Levis bios and see what stands out.
Except that he does have all of those things just a tick under. Levis is a prototype physically. Arm, size, running. He’s older and inconsistent, those are his knocks. He’s physically a better prospect than Young and Stroud.
Jordan Addison or Jaylin Hyatt One thing you can not teach and both of these guys, along with the top WRs in the league have, is speed. Not to mention they already good route runners and catchers.
I don't understand the infatuation with Allen.. Is he good? Of course..But I'm not sure I want my next QB having the same style of play as him.. Especially in this dysfunction.. .. Hell, Allen was a project himself that was fortunate enough to be drafted to a playoff ready roster.. The trenches were set in Buffalo. They just were wise to get him a playmaking WR while developing him. What's the chances of Caserio getting this Levis kid, an all pro WR while he develops? If Levi can grow to be that dude then I prefer he go somewhere else where they'd do it properly.. This kinda project can set these idiots at Reliant even further back , which is unfathomable.. I prefer the projected sure thing at 1.1 ... That lil short Prince built mfer at Bama.. lmao Looks the part of a winner that can restore faith in the organization.. As I said before, they need a buzz to get fans like me back on board without a sideye..
Physically, sure. However, many of the best NFL QBs were not the best physical prospects. You don't have to have the strongest arm to be successful. Drafting on if someone has a cannon, gets you, JarMarcus Russell. Levis doesn't run like Allen and is 2 inches shorter. That is not a "tick" under. Levis' numbers are nowhere CLOSE to Stroud and Young, not to mention near Williams or Maye.
He's got the arm and you might want to go check out his 2021 Louisville highlights before you say he doesn't have Allen's running ability.
I've seen my share of it.. But not the time nor place for such conversation.. Got any sites tho my guy?
And so, it begins. We don't know where anyone will end up until after the combine and the poking and prodding and different stories come out.
Been knew this…he doesn’t take football seriously and doesn’t have the will and want to be one of the greats
Did you go check out the Louisville highlights? Did you see him run for touchdowns? Hurdle a guy in the open field? Etc... Josh Allen wasn't Josh Allen coming out of college. Just pointing out that the fact that Levis is very athletic (probably the most athletic QB in this draft other than Richardson and Duggan may be faster) and has a gun for an arm. I don't want Caserio to draft him because I don't think the Texans can develop him. But that doesn't mean the tools aren't there. Or that the team around him wasn't talent deficient last year. If a guy like Reid/Daboll/Sirriani was his HC then I would be on board with picking Levis because of their track records of developing raw QB's.
What makes you think this? Did you read this somewhere. Because I see a max effort guy on the field. The same thing was said about Warren Sapp because he was a pot smoker that the game wasn't important to him. It's officially draft season.
He's closer to Blake Bortles than Josh Allen for me. If he goes to senior bowl and performs well, I'll like him a bit more, but still just a major risk. Even when he runs, he fumbles the ball in the games I've seen. Just doesn't really remind me of Josh Allen enough. He has a quick release, and his throwing form is great. His receivers could have helped him out more, but his pocket awareness and decision making were atrocious. Pocket awareness especially is something I don't see alot of prospects improve drastically so it's just hard to see it with him other than him being big and strong with a nice arm.
**** "raw" QB. I want a proven Winner at the highest level. A player who competed against the best competition and put up good numbers against that competition. Bryce Young did that.
