Some thoughts on this strange comment... You can only spin one of two ways... to the left or to the right Who gives a damn about how many moves a player has if they can score effectively?
It is so obvious and out there that people started talking about the things sofs were saying for a year so. the obvious lack of trust, or whatever you wanna cal it except a conspiracy, from coaches just goes on to the whole team that nix etc can wave him off. It came to the point that it hurts both him and the team as a whole. It is now even more strange because he is solid on d, he doesn’t look unathletic, he is good on boards and blocks, his handles are better. He is simply improving on everything he can, except for the roles he cannot assign himself to. He is not allowed to shoot and he is not used as a playmaker. he also has the most mature game among youngsters. Knows when to pass the ball back and plays within the flow.
No, not at all. You were smearing Sengun, saying: "All he has is that 1-2 spin move. Totally overrated." So I posted this tweet. Now you're trying to divert the discussion. Go back and check it out; you will see.
Stay out of this bc you obviously don’t know the context of this. 1-2 spin moves as in the amount of times he would hit someone with that move. It was a point I was making after he said he cooked all these top players, which he hasn’t.
I’m not talking about his bag!! I’m talking about how many times he’s hit these top players with that move in a game. Y’all taking this out of context
i cant understand this type of dump people if you like a player very much , thats normal to post lots of content about him , but why does a human being spends all of his energy to show a player bad, just check his posts all of them are hate post.. you can tell senguns or any other players negative sides in his thread ok but making fun of everything about him ? or trash him in every post game thread what the hell is that ??
This guy's take is absolutely correct. It is mind-boggling. Somehow the coaching staff allows lesser players like KPJ and even freaking Nix to wave off Sengun. That should NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER happen. It's insane. Sengun should actually just deck these two guys to ensure that it never happens again.
yes!... and I was also saying the same thing starting from senguns summer league... and i aint a sof....just love basktball and love it to be played the right way, that talent may shine...
is it a small wonder then why the refs disrespect and nitpick on sengun as well? I blame management for that as well... if they let sengun to win the ROY zebras would have to respect him and rockets more... bbiq and attention to detail in this franchise is at zero level...they just go tru motions from bottom to top...
I am not a Sengun only fan either. I like basketball and I don't see any problem following a team through a player or a team, be it successful or not, that runs a basketball philosophy I like, or an organization that is well run. I am sure I spend more time on how the rockets can get better than a lot of fans who claim to be rockets fan first and who put the label sengun only fan on me. I have to give some credit to you. Sengun is smashing every expectation I had and honestly deserves the full unconditional support you have given him. And that's despite not being put in a position to thrive.
At this point he should just stop complaining, get the refs out of his mind and play his game. His theatrics, complaining don't help him. Just make the play and let the people see facts.
Just a thought, could it be that the front office feels that Jalen Green and even KPJ would be a lot more "marketable" to the target group than a foreign player like Sengun is? It doesn't seem like that stopped the Nuggets from prioritizing Jokic, but perhaps Denver has different demographics than Houston? It's kind of mind-boggling how most of us (excluding some of the intellectually challenged people like maj21, of course) can see how Sengun is the complete package, the stats prove it, the NBA experts see it, but the team gives him fewer minutes, doesn't feature him on offense, yanks him more quickly when he makes a mistake, and allows inferior players like KPJ and Nix (lol) to wave him off. It just doesn't make sense.
As far as I know Sengun is the first Turk who did not play for Turkish EuroChamps (Efes and Fenerbahce) before coming to NBA. I thought it would be his achilles' heel, not enough experience but it seems that it gave Sengun some strength. It seems that he is familiar with being undermined. If he played for Efes and Fener, he woud be more demanding, more spoiled soul. He played for ignorable teams (Banvit and BJK), accustomed to be underrated, still got MVP award, still went to NBA at the age of 19 as a FRP. I guess the same story happening here. He did not start his NBA journey with a winning team (actually the worst one in the last two seasons), Coach is not very keen on him, refs do no favour also. Whether he will replicate his previous success to be MVP is interesting issue, worth to watch. I have no doubt that he will be multiple all-star together with JGreen,Jabari and Tari. I love to see this "holy quartet" in rising stars/all-star break games, JGreen and Alpi as second year players and Bari+Tari as sookies. It will cement the bright future of Rockets to outsiders.
I don't think this is the case, i.e. what you said about the front office thinking some players are more marketable. Green is a solid prospect with a very high ceiling, so he doesn't need to be marketable. My guess is the front office and Silas were aligned at the beginning with kpj experiment and neither thought Sengun would be more than a solid back-up or a role player. Now they are divided on both KPJ and Sengun (and Silas's coaching in general) but FO cannot do much other than firing him. I see signs of interference, KPJ's dribbling reduced, Fernando falling behind in the center pecking order despite all the praise from KPJ and Silas, Sengun getting more minutes in the fourth. So right now, I am guessing the whole thing is a mess in terms of coaching but they will just wait the season out to fire Silas. The team is young but this is definitely a play in team with a decent pg. I think FO sees this as well.
